Crandall Falls — Local services in Town of Remsen

11/19/2023 My dog, Odin & I finally found this place today! Simply put, this place is BEAUTIFUL!! Headed eastward on Roberts Rd in Remsen, you cross a bridge over Little Black Creek Fishing Area and continue on (maybe 500ft) to the next small dirt road on your left, there is a official Fishing Area sign roadside and quite a few “posted” signs too. It almost appears to be someones private driveway here…but its NOT! Turn into this dirt road and drive approx. I mile …BTW: I had no problem driving my regular car (not a 4 wheel drive)on this road! HOWEVER…The last 400 ft(or so) of this road is really soupy, so i parked roadside before this soupy area. When i got out of the car I could hear and see the creek through the trees! We walked the final roadway to a loop and followed the clearly marked & well trod trail ahead to the multi falls creekside….I was stunned! IT TRULY IS BEAUTIFUL AND LENGTHY ! We walked closely along the creek both up and downstream ..What a treat!! Just please be respectful of the property owner…!! Today there was only beauty ,peace and solitude !! So glad we finally got here! If you stay on roadway and off the posted land YOU WILL HAVE NO PROBLEMS! Read all signage CLOSELY, they can be confusing!! THIS PLACE IS A STATE DESIGNATED PUBLIC FISHING...

Only permitted use is for fishing.

It is state land surrounded by tons of "posted" signs at the perimeter of the state land.
