Went to buy a camper after being pre approved. The sales guy showed us the "only one left" (a camper being sold on consignment) and it just happened to be in my price range. Knowing inventory was low in general, I told him I was a serious buyer and gave him my banks' info and all the details. This guy could not have cared less about making the sale. I offered to put a deposit down to which he declined and responded that I should "go home and think about it and come back when I'm sure about my purchase". I insisted that I was serious and when I asked him for paperwork to submit to my bank for payment, his response was that he was "very busy helping other customers" and "couldn't give me any paperwork until A check was ready". Who does business like this? As I was leaving I explained how I used to sell cars and that nowhere on the planet would a bank just cut a check without having all of the information. Sales guy calls me the next day trying to feed me the same line of BS and then states he would be willing to accept a deposit since the camper didn't sell for cash the day before. I Just laughed and hung up. What a joke.

Read moreI recently purchased a tow behind camper trailer from a family member on Long Island. Found out that it has not made any long trips in a VERY long time and had sat for a long time prior to my moving it. Absolutely needed tires and a good once over, but found this out well after arriving on the island and was planning on leaving within a couple of days. My father-in-law told me to take is to W.E.S. Trailers. So I gave them a call, to which they were a little taken aback by the quick turn around that I needed, but said to bring it in and they would see what they could do. I had fresh rubber on, axils and brakes checked, and an over roadworthiness check for a cross country trip done, and they knocked it out in under a day. Now I am almost complete with my trip, 4000+ miles later, no issues at all. The guys at W.E.S. were awesome. I would highly recommend them to any and everyone. As a side note, as they are pretty close to Riverhead, I heard them mention that people didn't know where they were at. Really close by, but nice big areas to turn into and around in. Really great and convenient location....

The guy behind the counter was pretty cool, he helped me get what I needed. I went back to Wildwood and everything was working as it should. This was a temporary fix and the guy made it clear.
I went back an hour later and asked what could be the cause. Not only did they explain it in detail but also how I should go about troubleshooting it. Turns out it's something related to the AC causing the breaker to trip. When the time comes to work on the RV, it's definitely going to them.
They also have a pretty well stocked showroom. I needed a fresh water fill cap and they had them in stock. Their prices are pretty good. The adapter I needed was $2.50 and I'm sure another store would have marked that up pretty high.
Cool people and trustworthy, Give them...
