Kayak the Apostle Islands — Local services in Town of Russell

I booked the sunset tour with my two sons and it was a really good time. From the outfitting of gear (wetsuit and bib) just before the launch to the crash course in Kayak safety, this company has nailed down every detail and is very professional. As for the shoreline and caves—there are breathtaking views one after the other. We went on multiple jaunts through rocky archways and into some of the more interesting and colorful cracks deep within the caves. Navigating the wormhole in particular was a true adventure! Ask for Travis for your guide if you can get him—he made it safe and interesting, giving just enough history and detail while keeping the focus on having a fun and safe time on the water. The light coming in during the late afternoon makes for some really great photos. The distance between the kayak launch and the caves is not short so be prepared to paddle! ...

Dawson was an amazing tour guide! Travis was very helpful when we had some booking troubles and he also called the night before to make sure we were headed in the right direction at the time of the tour. Dawson and Travis were super understanding when my partner and I locked my keys in my car at our campground the morning we were supposed to be on the 8 AM, they were super responsive and understanding when we told them and rebooked us for a different time. The tour itself was awesome, informative, and adventurous! Great introductory to some of the apostle island area...

I 100% recommend this outfit. Travis helped us get in a last minute tour of the caves when our travel plans changed. I had read that the trip would be too much for children under 12 but called and talked with Travis and felt great about his skill, knowledge and ability to gauge what our 4 kids could do. We did the Meyers beach tour of the sea caves and it was a highlight of our 1.5 years on the road touring the USA. Safe, breathtaking, a wonderful adventure, amazing guide… What more could you ask for? We will definitely look them up when we visit the Apostle...
