I went in to get a NY state inspection on my car stating it wouldn’t pass due to needing brakes and rotors. They claimed I needed more than half life on the pads and they were not going to pass and they would be liable if they gave me an inspection the way they were. Mind you I just had my vehicle inspected by Davidson ford in April. Everything checked out and brakes were still good. Get R done was going to try and charge me about 450$ for brakes and rotors when they didn’t need to get done. In the end I went back to Davidson Ford to see if they missed something. They gladly re looked at the truck and confirmed the vehicle was good and would pass an inspection. They got me in checked it and did the inspection no questions asked. I hope this shop isn’t trying to take advantage of Soldiers returning from deployment who have no choice but to get their vehicles to pass inspection, and places like this prey on them because they know they don’t have a choice, seeing as Fort Drum won’t let you on base or you can get a fine for lapsed inspection. I expected more from a local dealer. I will not be going back. And I will be informing my formations to stay away from what I just experienced today. To respond to your comment… I was not angry at all, I was very cordial with you guys and I was trying not no be confrontational at all with you guys because I knew I just had my vehicle through fords inspection. And stop lying to everyone I clearly got my inspection the same day from the Ford Dealer after you said I wouldn’t pass the inspection. If there is one thing I am not is a Liar. I have morals and Values to which I live by. Stop lying to your customers when I have my inspection sticker now to prove it.

They totally saved me on a cross country trip. With out these guys I'd have been stranded for at least another day.

Horrible experience. I own a 2008 BMW 335xi. Was having issues with cold starts, car would start really rough and go into reduced power mode. Took it in to have it diagnosed to get an idea of what the issue was. After their initial diagnoses Get R Done came to the conclusion that I had a blown head gasket and warped head and that I had coolant mixing in with my oil. I wonder if they just simply googled why coolant was mixing in with the oil instead of taking a proper look. Their recommendation was to have the whole engine replaced. I asked if they could replace the head gasket, they said they could but they insisted that a engine replacement which they quoted me at $6,000 would be the best route to take. After I said that it wouldn't be worth it to replace the engine for $6,000, Steve the owner then offered to salvage the car for the grand price of $1,000. After hearing this I decided that I would take my vehicle to Burdick BMW in Syracuse to get a second opinion which I don't think Steve liked because he was very quick and short with me after I said that. After BMW finished their initial diagnostic they came to the conclusion that it was a faulty High Pressure Fuel Pump, leaking Oil Filter Housing Gasket and the oil cooler housing gasket(which is how coolant was mixing in with my oil) was leaking, which totaled up to $1,200 to repair. I just can't seem to believe that Get R Done didn't see that it was a fuel pump issue given that they persistently brag about their diagnostic machines and about their "great" track record when it comes to Bavarian automobiles. Either they don't have the correct equipment to diagnose these vehicles or they have inept ownership and technicians, I'm going to say it's more of the latter. If I didn't get a second opinion done the correct way I would have been out of $5,000 listening to and trusting the recommendations of, if you let Steve the owner tell it the best automotive shop in the Watertown area.

Terrible customer service overall. After I picked my car up from Get R Done I found cigarette ashes in my seats, I don't smoke at all or allow people to smoke in my car. That alone should tell you the utter disrespect that they show towards their customers. If anyone is reading this review I highly suggest you think twice about bringing your vehicle to this shop.

I normally wouldn't respond to someone's rebuttal but this one I must. Not once was I trying to save money and crying the "broke blues". I am fully aware of the premium maintenance costs that owning a car like this comes with. I had multiple conversations with Steve during this process, he was the one who initially took my car in and did all the paper work. I had a lengthy conversation with Steve when I first brought it in, had to be at least 15 mins as I was there waiting for my ride to pick me up.

Issue #1: Not once did I say I took my car into another service center to have my car diagnosed for overheating issues. Anyone who has any knowledge knows that the BMW oxygen sensors and brake fluid flush is required maintenance, 100k for the 02 sensors and every 2 years for a brake fluid flush.

Issue #2: Steve never offered to have his shop perform a more in depth diagnosis given my permission, instead they recommended that I have the engine replaced as their one and only solution. Being a sensible person I told them that I would take my car to certified BMW mechanics to find out if they saw anything different. Instead if spending $6,000+ on repairs like they recommended, I did what anyone with common sense would do and had a second opinion, which turned out to be the correct decision in my case.

Money was never the issue. I wanted my car to be repaired correctly without being taken for a ride around the block and being scammed for unnecessary repairs, which replacing the whole engine would have been overkill.

Do not listen to these crooks as they have probably have scammed other car owners the same way who just wanted...

First, let me say that i am not at all a rich person with money falling from every opening in my body which most people assume when you drive a well known luxury brand like Land Rover. Having said that, i own a 2006 Range Rover Supercharged HSE. It has got almost 187,000 miles but is in very well kept shape for it's years. It has been all over the U.S. as i am active duty Army and it requires we have a road runner .

My troubles started a long time ago but i did not know what i was in for as my car was giving me fits turning up expensive codes like, transmission fault limited gears available, suspension warnings, low tire pressure warnings, and a host of others. At the time this was going on, i never knew it was something staying on in the computer system and thus draining all the juice from my battery. I went to the Land Rover dealer in Rochester, a good 2.5 hours away from Watertown 3 times in the last 40 days having a brand new rebuilt transmission put in, and countless diagnostic tests done by the so called experts. The transmission alone cost me $5,200 and less than 2 weeks later a diagnostic test for $194.00 none of which stopped the codes from showing up. Not only did the battery die after i got the car home from the dealer, they never did find out WHY the battery kept losing power but were confident it needed a charge and to the tune of almost $195.00. I was now fed up and decided to go to the Interstate battery store in Watertown to have it checked out. I explained to the owner there that this was the second Interstate battery i had installed within 6 months. Now, if you know anything about cars and batteries, an 800 cranking amp battery from Interstate DOES NOT FAIL...PERIOD, forget that two would. The shop owner assured me, it was something other than the battery and alternator as they were both good. As we were talking , in walks Steve the owner of Get R Done Auto and the Interstate battery guy begins to tell him of my plight. Steve had come in to drop off a battery to the shop. Steve starts telling me that he owns a shop and he promises me , he will fix it. He then says i will not even charge you for the original diagnostic if i can't find out what's wrong with it. I did not believe him at all but felt i had to give someone else a shot at it. I got it to him within the next week and 3 weeks later, it was fixed. It would have been earlier but i chose to buy the part off of E Bay to save some money. The part i got was worse than the one i had in my car originally. In fairness to him, i would have had my car back in about 5-6 days versus the 3 weeks it took due to trying to find another part after i had cancelled the original part steve had ordered for me. In the end, he even knocked off an hours labor and the bill came to $933.00. The problem ended up being the HVAC computer unit in the middle of the dash was bad and therefore staying on or coming on when the cars ignition was off. This was sucking all the power from the battery once turned on. After spending thousands of dollars from everyone trying to fix the issue, i finally found a reliable garage with reliable competent mechanics that knew what they were doing. Steve , drew and all the other mechanics thank you for your unwavering support in getting the problem diagnosed. Worth every penny. Take your car to Get R Done and get it done right , the first time. Also, it does not matter the make, they do it all from land Rover to Ferrari to Honda and...

WHAT A HECTIC COUPLE OF DAYS! šŸ˜®ā€šŸ’Ø Get in the car Friday afternoon and get to a stop sign 500 ft from my parking spot to find that my brakes didn’t activate until the pedal was ALL the way to the floor! Then I get to the next stop sign and there it is - ABS and BRAKE light come on and yet again, the brakes don’t activate until the pedal is all the way to the floor! We put brake fluid in master cylinder because it was pretty low but no visible leaks anywhere! Pump the brakes a couple times with no change. Get it back home safely and wake up the next morning and continue to do the same thing! No changes! So I had to tow in on Saturday morning and the brothers came in on their day off to help (automatic 5 stars there!) My passenger rear brake cylinder blew as soon as we rolled it off the tow truck! I had to get all the rear end brake system replaced (drums, cylinders, shoes and hardware) and drove away with no issues. I drive for roughly 30 minutes and pull into Walmart to get some groceries and small touch up things done (psi check, torque check, and balance check) and to my surprise the auto care center calls me back there to tell me that my rear end has no free roll when jacked up and the drums are extremely hot! So we had to park it and leave it because I was not about to chance drive it another 30 minutes home! I called them again this Monday morning and ask them if they have any ideas and what we could do. I do another tow in (at no fault of the shops and no cost to me because of insurance). They look over EVERYTHING and can’t find a single thing wrong with any of the work they did and cannot figure out why there is no free roll and why my drums are running extremely hot. It takes me walking into the shop some time later and looking at the two different drums (old vs. new) to find the very distinct difference and cause to the issues! The after market drums had an over positive offset (I’m assuming with tolerance) that caused the resistance on free roll, tension on the new drums and noticeable difference in ride and rolling. (They put the factory drums back on and we took it for a test drive to come to this conclusion.) Steve (the manager) just so happened to stop by around this time and he was so kind to make sure that I was not paying for services not rendered and parts not used! He also offered to clean up the factor drums at no cost to me for all the trouble. Two different part suppliers (NAPA and AC-Delco) supplied these drums for the job and they were both over positive offset (with tolerance). It’s truly crazy the difference a few cm can make! Steve said something like this rarely ever happens and he’s been in the business for over 20 years, but it does happen!

It’s always something with this ā€˜98 Durango šŸ˜…

Long story short, they were amazing and made sure they were doing their best work and problem solving! I have only been here a couples months (from way down South) and I was so hesitant to try a new mechanic. But I am so glad I rolled across these brothers...
