Sand Lake Merchant — Local services in Town of Sand Lake

Perfect day, perfect baby shower! Hosted my daughter’s baby shower at Sand Lake Merchant middle of May (yes it was a sunny day believe it or not!) Very comfortable atmosphere. Accommodating, Organized and very clean. The upstairs event area was a perfect setting for our family and friends. Melissa, the Event Coordinator, managed/supported us to ensure a lovely event. She made sure everything was in order and just right along with guiding us with those things we wouldn’t have thought of. Her friendly, cheerful nature was welcoming to all. The upstairs event area has 2 restrooms and a bar plus a kitchen area with industrial refrigerators- barn door closure from main event area. Don’t fret on parking as there is ample parking across from the Towne Tavern which is just a few steps away. As shared earlier- it was a perfect day, a perfect event....

Even better than I hoped for.

It was our first time there, and we're already planning our return (mid-day coffee, enjoyed on the porch upstairs).

The building/premises - fantastic. Beautiful, light layout, lots of wood, not cluttered, and a separated space for the coffee (Gipfel's). The upstairs sitting area is as cool as can be (including the porch, that looks out over the intersection).

The attention to detail is evident - the wood floors, the wooden stairs to the second floor. But it's nice, not "precious."

We tried the gelato. (Had to do it.) It is as good as the best I've ever had (Amorino Gelato, on Newbury Street, Boston). Great flavors, reasonably priced, and nice sized portions.

Bottom line - it was great. Five-star, A++. A very welcome addition to the area. Thank you to the owners who took the risk and opened this...

CHARMING. Grew up around here, I miss it. What a beautiful addition to and celebration of this area. Main level is ramp accessible etc. Indoor seating. Can also hang in the nice space on the second level while you eat some spumoni gelato (gotta recommend)-also a delightful porch up there w seating. I grabbed raw NY cheddar-my list goes on. And yay that Gipfel’s Coffee Co is attached! (They have somewhat different hrs than Merchant). And funny, but such a pretty bathroom-love the wallpaper. Always a pleasure,...
