The Elms Golf Course — Local services in Town of Sandy Creek

We had a party of 8 for dinner. It seemed as though it was an inconvenience from the get go to set a table for 8. We were on vacation from out of town, so therefore we’re not club members, but they had live music & the menu looked good. We all ordered and it took about an hour to get our food. All the food came out but mine (chicken marsala). They sent a very RUDE lady out to the table to tell me that the waitress never entered my meal in the ordering system. No apology from this lady at all. She said that it would take a while to cook that meal and suggested that I order fried food if I was in a hurry, they couldn’t do anything about it to rush it. (Mind you we had been there an hour & 1/2 already- they were not busy!) When I declined what she offered, she had quite the snotty attitude toward me. Not friendly at all. I understand mistakes happen, this was very poorly handled and I felt we were treated very wrong! The original waitress did finally come out and apologize, however the entire time our party was eating, that snotty waitress and the hostess stood guard at the door staring at us the entire time, not to mention two of our party used the rest room and overheard them saying not nice things about us in front of customers!) The food was not what I would have expected for the price that was paid. We had over a $200 bill. I would NOT recommend this establishment to anyone and I will never return! Very very...

The food that I ordered was good, however the waitresses within the establishment were not friendly or good. Our waitress ended up not putting in one of our parties food orders. This however wasn’t the issue. The issue was when another waitress came to the table asking if the guest still wanted their food and then proceeded to tell her that the only thing that would be able to be made fast was fried food. She opted not to get anything and the waitress stormed off. Then we were treated like the mix up was our fault. The waitresses in this establishment then waited in the door way to make sure we left and made my party extremely uncomfortable. I’ve been coming here all my life, and it truly is a special place. I dare anyone to find a public course that’s more fun and challenging—there’s just something about it. Yes, some of the fairways are not ideal, but the greens are in great shape, and the layout is fantastic. My family loves the food too—haddock was awesome!
