Vinnie's Farm Market — Local services in Town of Saugerties

When I tell you me and my boyfriend frequently think about this place, we might say something like “ugh what I would give to eat another smoked trout from that little farm stand upstate”. We talk about it at least once a month and we only came here one time on October of 2022. A smoked trout that the owner, Vincent said he caught with his friend the day prior. Never ate anything like it before and probably one of the most memorable memories we could share together. It was fresh, marinated, perfectly flavored for a perfect autumn day. We also bought some other things here, like beef jerky, fresh apples, a jar of pickles, and other stuff you might typically find at a farm stand. The selection and variety for this particular farm stand was astounding. We miss you Vincent and your smoked trout. We hope to plan another suagerties autumn trip in the future and enjoy more of...

If you're headed to Tannersville, you need to experience Vinnie's. Even if you don't buy anything - just go, walk around. I'll be honest, the first time I went I was deeply skeptical. It's a step back in time. I mean that semi-literally. There are definitely home canned foods in Mason jars on the shelf from when Vinnie first opened 40 some years ago. And sometimes you have to fight the fruit flies to get the apples out of the barrels. But the food and the fresh produce, and the jams are delicious. If Vinnie has smoked trout in stock, buy it! It is unbelievable. Trust me. Vinnie is also delightful - a true hard working homesteader (and possible hoarder) who's been practicing his craft for decades. In all sincerity, this place is a must go. You'll leave with a story. PS - If you do buy something, he hand writes a receipt on your bag....

Modifying as of April 5, 2025! ✨ I’ve been coming here for years and, it’s still a staple of mine! I’ve driven from City— from East— and now locally as I spend time with friends here. Adding a bunch of photos so you can get a feel of the ABUNDANCE.. the options and goodies. Enjoy your stop! 😊 (between unfiltered RAW honey, bee pollen, handpicked local apples [no wax 😏], crumb cake [raspberry is my favorite], cheese curds, local smoked Trout, tea, muffins, bagels, croissants, maple syrup, fresh meat… the everything stop- shop. :) + Vinnie is wonderful.

2023: This is a MUST go! Vinny is the sweetest human and there is SO much to choose from.. if you want a true feel of country and love, this is it! So happy all that I got to bring home with me, and even more happy I found this place. Thank you, Vinny, for all that you do and are!...
