Night Terrors Haunted Farm — Local services in Town of Schoharie

This was my first time at Night Terrors. I have already been to MM Haunted Hayride and Field of Horrors this season.

My only compliment is that the dead end trail is the best attraction here. It is wonderfully done. It has a trail and corn maze, pop up scares, and good props.

To get to the dead end trail you have to get on the hayride. This is the most poorly done attraction, you will wait 1-3 hours to get on. I got in line and the wagon had a wheel that wasn't on properly so we had to wait for it to get fixed. Once I was done waiting in the main line, we lined up in queues like if you were riding a rollercoaster. The Tractor only comes every 5 minutes and takes the speed line first, so sometimes the wagon gets filled up before any other lines get on (there are 6 queues total). They randomly pick which lines get to go. So the tractor comes, management talks for about 3 minutes, then they let the speed line in, them they talk for about 2 minutes, let a random line in, talk for about 5 minutes and finally let the tractor go. Then, you wait about 5 minutes for the next tractor. On top of that, their tractors aren't made for mud and they change out the tractors every 30mins-1 hour which take 10- 20 minutes each. So you will wait a long long time.

The people are volunteers so once you finally get on the hayride you won't even be scared. It got awkward at times just watching the volunteers trying to scare the people. The makeup also could be done better (did not look real and it looked the same on most volunteers).

I would not recommend going if you've been to a couple or more scary places. Field of horrors...

So I give this place alot of credit I been going every year since 2018... and was never disappointed. Very friendly people and always have a amazing time... I never thought I would have to say this but I went this year 2023 and was extremely disappointed.. they stopped the hay ride... that was the best part of the whole attraction... that's what made this place so fun... now it's just all walk through I mean it's ok but taking the hay ride out was a mistake... I honestly loved going here because of that never complained about the price because well always had a amazing time.. alot of the actors this year seemed like they just were not in the spirit... taking the hayride and clown house away is very upsetting... In previous years I have went a few times every year... this year was just upsetting... please bring the hayride back with all the attractions along the hay ride route... because cramming them all together like this year it's just not scary because the group ahead of you spoiles it and there is no jumps or scares on the hayride you never known what was coming because it was just one Group per attraction and the actors and people can enjoy it all one by one... I don't know but I don't think I will go back because of this... all the actors do a amazing job and are super nice but because everything is crammed together and no hayride I don't think I'll be...

Great cast AWFUL management. So let me put this out there the actors where AMAZING some of the best I have ever seen at a Halloween attractions. The Kraus House was by far the best attraction and Dr. Kraus himself was a great actor I was actually scared by the end of it. However some of the other attractions left me wanting more not because they were great but because they were so short it barely gave me the chance to enjoy it. I bought my ticket online so that when I arrived I didn't have to wait in a long line, I was wrong I had to wait in a line that was moving even slower than the line for people who needed tickets. When I got to the front the women was moving incredibly slow and was up and about helping the other ticket windows(total wait time: 25mins). The line for the hayride was outrageous I have never seen such a long line not even at large amusement parks. Managements solution was to just keep adding more twists and turns to the line rather than fire up another tractor. And the last attraction you couldn't even get to without riding the hayride.(total wait time:1.5 hours). Overall very disappointed will NOT being going back do not recommend unless you...
