I called the day before about getting a photo inspection for my car insurance, and was told no appointment was needed. The next day I drove 40 minutes to get there and was told by the woman at the counter that she just didn't have the time so I'd have to make an appointment for sometime the next week, which didn't really work for me as I didn't have another day off for several more weeks and the inspection was due before then. I was so surprised by how unpleasant she was that I never even thought to question why I was told the day before that I didn't need an appointment. I don't really like confrontation and based on her colleague's lack of reaction to her rudeness, she probably has much more practice being unpleasant than me, so I felt it best not to argue and ended up driving an additional hour to a different location in to have the 10 minute inspection completed. I'm assuming they don't make much money off the insurance inspections because she was so eager to get me out of their shop that she never gave me the chance to mention I also desperately needed to purchase new tires that day. I also am assuming that Steve Shannon Tire is doing so well that they don't need any additional business so I suffered with my old tires a bit longer and today I spent that $875 with another company that actually valued my time as well as my business, and I'd recommend others go...
Read moreFeeling pretty disappointed with my recent experience at Steve Shannon. I’ve been bringing my car here for routine brake work for about 4-5 years now. I brought it back earlier this week because I noticed a metal on metal sound when braking, which started when they put new front brake pads and rotors on it a month ago. I also asked them to look at my rear suspension because I noticed a creaking sound coming from it when driving over bumps. At first they only diagnosed the sound from the brakes, stating they took 3 tires off and couldn’t find anything wrong but did verify that they could hear the noise. I then asked about the noise coming from the suspension, but they forgot to look at that. 2-3 minutes later they came back out also saying they couldn’t find anything that would be causing either noise. I was advised by the man at the service desk to just drive with my music loud and that it’s better to leave with “nothing wrong”. I would’ve been fine with that response if there wasn’t something clearly wrong with my car for it to be making these unusual sounds. I’m not sure if I was being taken advantage of because I’m a woman or they just didn’t want to put much effort in that day because their boss was on vacation. Either way, I will never bring my...
Read moreNever never again will I waste my time. The attitude is unacceptable, I went there for an alignment after just having the ENTIRE undercarriage done. Was charged $110 for that, then told me I needed $1600 worth of parts including the labor done that I didn't come to need. But don't worry, their ignorance got me paying for their " professional knowledge" The bolts were never tightened after alignment, causing my front two tires to rub, only to find this out after I took my car elsewhere due to heavy vibration in the front. And to get a 2nd opinion. The tires were so bald after I just had it looked at not even a week prior, that they think the alignment wasn't even done and if it was, then the ignorance of not tightening my bolts did more damage. So need less to say my tires are shot and another alignment will....
