These mountains might have missed the memo about being as grand as the Rockies or as mysterious as the Himalayas. Instead, they decided to serve cozy woodland vibes with a side of "Oops! I think I took a wrong turn at the last pine tree."
The name might hint at a horde of mountain-dwelling felines, but I was slightly disappointed to find no actual cats. Nor were there any skills being showcased, unless you count the uncanny ability of some hikers to trip over air.
Despite their modest height, the Catskills sure do offer a grand view - if you consider a panorama of your cousin Bob's backyard grand. But jokes aside, these mountains have a charm that grows on you, kind of like that fuzzy mold on last month's cheese.

I visited the Catskills water falls: I like to suggest on the weekends park your car some miles away from the fall (walkable distance) I/o hours spending for parking in the Catskills falls’s parking. Catskills water fall has top trail to go up to see the overlook view of the fall and bottom trail to see the water fall from the bottom. If you want to avoid the trail , you can see both views from the “viewers platform “ . So close to the Catskills water fall they is a parks to see serene views of north lake and south lake. (I saw humungous people doing campaign 🏕 at that place . They assign slot numbers in camps area. I booked Airbnb for a night around two hundred dollars. For food i will recommend “Catskills mountain Country Store” they has amazing menus, many options in drinks and vegetarian , non vegetarian options. I love the taste, the atmosphere and the service.
