Straits Chapel — Local services in Town of Sheboygan

While Straits Chapel is undeniably a beautiful venue, the experience with the staff leading up to our wedding wasn’t what we had hoped for. With the cost of Kohler and its 5-star rating, we expected better service. We encountered several frustrating issues, including an attempt when we were revising our contract to increase the outside florist fee from the $1,000 we originally agreed and signed upon to $5,000 without any mention besides us reading it in the revised contract.

Communication was also lacking — we had to repeat ourselves constantly over email, and they even sent us incorrect documents that belonged to another couple.

Another major pain point was our rehearsal. It was scheduled to take place before our brunch at Blackwolf Run, but at the last minute, they tried to change it, saying we couldn’t get into the chapel until the evening prior. Thankfully, this was eventually resolved, but it added unnecessary stress. Side note, our brunch was AMAZING!
