Sheridan VFW (Veterans of Foreign Wars) — Local services in Town of Sheridan

My daughter reserved this VFW this past weekend and I would not recommend it to anyone for a hall rental. The woman in charge was completely unprofessional and rude both during Friday set up and Saturday on arrival. My daughter was told they had tablecloths for use and the women angrily threw one on each table as she obviously acted irritated that she had to assist us. Most of the 8 tablecloths were stained and had holes in them. She also rudely informed us that we could not have a cooler of bottled water because the place doesn't make money off the hall rental . She said the fee goes towards cleaning and all drinks have to be bought at the bar. The day of the shower she scolded guests as they arrived for parking in the back and rudely said " If you're going to leave the door open I'm turning the air conditioner off ! ". I visited on a Friday night for their fish fry. The food was above average and cooked well. My party of 30+ was served in a timely manner which was also impressive. The staff displayed a great deal of communication skills as I was able to freely transition from the bar to the dining hall with the correct orders being tied into one central bill. Staff is very friendly. Ran out of fish fry very fast so if you want to get a deep fried fish fry go extremely early like as soon as they open. Had to wait almost an hour and 45 minutes for my broiled fish and burger. But they compensated my drinks, my food was hot and fresh and it was a friendly atmosphere. So all in all...
