Whispering Pines Golf Course and Event Center — Local services in Town of Sigel

We get to the Chippewa Falls area 3-4 times per year and we always make it a point to golf Whispering Pines in nearby Cadott. Hands down, Whispering Pines is the best everyday value that I have ever seen. The course is challenging and very well cared for. Water comes into play on more than half the holes. Some of the fairways are fairly wide, which I appreciate, while others are more challenging. But no matter what, every hole is challenging at some point within the journey. My favorite holes: #3 - if you hook your tee shot you're on Highway 29 either headed to Green Bay or to Minnesota depending on the severity of the hook. If you survive that, the green is surrounded by water on 3 sides. #16 - a beautiful Par 5. It's long, but possible to reach in 2. However, the green is very undulating so luck of the draw on your approach shot comes into play. #17 - A short Par 4, but you have to hit a sky ball and have lots of prayer to get it over the trees and stick it on the hidden green, which by the way is surrounded by woods and water on all sides. The smart players lay up to the left and try to pitch it on the green. I was reluctant to share our secret, but this is a course you've got to try. Great course and great value for the Chippewa Valley. You will use every club in the bag. You will probably lose a ball or two. I prefer the back nine to the front nine. It seems like there is a water hazard in one form or another on every hole in the front nine, or at least I have seem to find a lot of them. The greens are in excellent shape with few ball marks that is a testament to the members and the regulars that frequent the course, and the grounds crew. Great clubhouse with reasonable prices. Full range. Never had a pace of play or etiquette issue in all the times I have golfed here. ...

Met some friends here after work. Hands down best pepper poppers I have ever had. Wings took a little longer to arrive than our other food because the chef was willing to wait for the cooker to come back up to the proper temp. That right there is great customer service and why their food is so good. Quality over the after work rush. This really stood out to us as being very thoughtful and a great insight into how they run this place. Will be back for sure. Drinks...
