Schmidts Country Market — Local services in Town of Southampton

I love everything about this "Market"..the town is quaint, I'm a local but it always feels like I'm on vacation. I try to visit daily for a least coffee and the breakfast special bc the prices are very fair!! It does get busy so don't leave your patience at home ...enjoy the atmosphere, the owner Dan is always happy, singing & working hard making sure everyone else is being taken care of!!! Not only do we love this little gem but we bring our whole family on Sundays and sit on the beautiful lawn with tables across the street, where our grandchildren can play and the adults can catch up on our week!! I came here to write a great review and found myself reading a couple of horrible ones, all I have to say is please don't listen to the negativity about the women cashiers, I've been there daily for almost 2 years and they are ALWAYS sweet, respectful and kind. If you had a problem with them ..maybe it's your lack of kindness, because I've never ever seen anyone at Schmidt's be anything but pleasant!! If I could give this business more than 5 stars I would ...my husband & I are impressed at how kind & humble Dan is... So if you are thinking about stopping into Schmidt's Market ..don't wait🤩 Lucy B....

Updating my review: I am trying to think of a time in my life I was spoken to the way I just was by your cashiers. Those two women you have checking guests out have to be some of the nastiest people I’ve encountered. I am pretty sure they told me to choke on my food due to a discrepancy over a cup size. This is no way to run a local business and treat someone who comes year round. Sadly don’t think I would return until they are gone. Loved it! Tasty BEC, amazing coffee and lots of fresh food. I can’t wait to try...

Dan and his team have done an amazing job creating a special boutique grocery that works for everyone from Bacon, Egg and Cheese sandwich eaters to the premium Lobster Salad crowd.
