I have come to the garage with 3 different cars, a total of probably 6 times. I’ve done repairs from front end work to alternators to coolant leak repairs. My experience is always comically poor in terms of customer service, but the prices are fair and the work is typically acceptable. However, this time I had requested to borrow one of their free courtesy loaner vehicles because my second car was sold since my last visit. Despite the loaner being incredibly rusty and simply gross, and the 309,000 miles on the odometer, I thought it just be mechanically sound. Well, the rear brake calipers were so seized the rotor hadn’t been touched by the pad in over a year by my estimation and the amount of rust. I drove it anyways because I didn’t want to argue with Ken. The following day I was in my school parking lot and the check engine light came on when I started the car. I thought that maybe I should call, but knew Ken would be rude with me, so decided to just drive it there and ask him what he wanted me to do. During my drive I stopped (with great effort) at a stop sign and the car stalled and wouldn’t restart. I waited for 5 ish minutes and tried again and was able to get the poor car going, but now it was making a knocking noise from the engine. So, I pulled off the road and checked under the hood just to make sure it at least had oil—I am obviously not a mechanic. It did have oil, and I thought I could keep driving, but now the car had very limited power so I gave up and walked the last 1.8 miles to the dealership. Ken, like I had assumed, yelled at me and was extremely disrespectful after I told him what happened. Ken even asked me if I checked the oil when it started making the noise, and I stated how I didn’t feel that was my responsibility, but I had checked it anyways. As far as my car goes, he had it for 36 hours, and claims he didn’t fix or touch anything and refused to give me a receipt. I was told “merry Christmas” and to take my keys and go. The loaner vehicle was most certainly not safe to drive in any sense of the word. My car was not repaired, and I was forced to walk, then be yelled at. Any other business would have apologized for my inconvenience and offered a different loaner vehicle or maybe a discount off the repairs of my car, but he refused to even fix my car. In addition, my car smells like smoke and is full of mud now, which is always the case, but usually I overlook it. The attached photo is what I found when I opened the hood to check the oil...

As you can see great work but horrible service. Being a mechanic at a busy truck shop I took a personal vehicle there, made sure he was fully aware that the vehicle had a dead battery and a blown transmission. All I asked for was for them to replace transmission, I was never given any qoutes never told exactly what was wrong, never discussed what this would cost. I ended up at one of his parties and he screamed at me stating I need to give him money. I gave him money and never heard back as far as any progress for months! When I did finally hear from him the fuel pump, fuel lines, brake lines, app got replaced without even being consulted first! Just a warning if you are thinking about taking your vehicle there. Just assume everything is gonna get fixed and it's going to be expensive! I would never think to talk to my customers in the manner that this guy talked to me.........

The Garage staff and Ken were fantastic! Our family minivan blew an oil line hose on the highway heading to Madison from Kenosha. We were able to pull off but had no idea where to go to fix it. We saw online that the Garage was close by with great reviews and called. Ken got us in and diagnosed, fixed and prevented the problem from happening again at a very fair price - with the tow! We live in Kenosha but they treated us like we were lifetime customers from Sullivan. We recommend Ken and the customer service and great repair work at the Garage - thanks again from our family for getting our van back in...
