Gourmet Glatt Kiamesha Lake — Local services in Town of Thompson

I don’t usually write reviews, but after my recent experience with Gourmet Glatt’s takeout, I feel compelled to warn others: do not waste your money.

Let’s start with the price – it’s grotesquely inflated. For what they charge, you’d expect a gourmet, restaurant-quality meal at the very least. Instead, what I got was really bad tasting and bad quality food. It was a total rip-off.

Every item I tried was a complete disaster. The chicken was overcooked and dry. The meat? Tough, chewy, and way overdone. Side dishes tasted like they were made in bulk days ago and left out all day. Nothing was fresh. Nothing was flavorful. It was as if no one in that kitchen had the faintest how to cook.

For a place that brands itself as “gourmet,” this was an insult to the word. I’ve had better food from random fast food joints for a fraction of the price.
