Mitchell's Western Store — Local services in Town of Throop

I haven't seen a shop like this in New York. If you want or need anything that's western based they are going to have it, from boots to hats and everything in between. I might mention all at great prices too. The only thing better than the inventory and prices would be the staff. There was two ladies working when I was there. I needed a new pair of boots and a leather belt. I found a pair but they were a tad big. The one lady comes out of the back with the next smaller size in hand. And I have worn tan pointed toe boots since 1973. These are black with a blue ish stitching. Thank you so much ladies I know...

We stopped here to look for cowboy boots since taking lessons in Western riding. First, the staff is outstanding. Low key sales approach, allow you to just meander and once you've found an item they let you try things on and then are extremely helpful with your questions. The owner and staff are all riders and current and former competitors. Prices are competitive and items like boots really need to be bought in a store like this. They have cowboy hats, clothing, belts, buckles and everything horse related. Highly recommend...

I just went to get a pair of boots with some friends, and it was their first time. They couldn't stop talking about it on the road trip back. They all loved their boots, an belts. They arent the walmart of boot stores, but they are the heaven on earth of boot stores!! I love their company, they are very welcoming. My favorite place to go.
