Let me start by saying: Wildwaters Adventures didn’t just take us rafting — they launched us into a white-knuckled, soul-awakening, river-shredding ODYSSEY through time, space, and pure adrenaline. We began on the wild and untamed Indian River, where the water whispered promises of chaos and glory, and ended roaring into the mighty Hudson like Norse gods returning from battle.

But the real legend? Our guide, our captain, our spirit animal: Maddy, aka Mad Dog. “Mad Dog didn’t just lead us — she tamed the river like Poseidon riding the Kraken into battle. With a war cry that made the eagles scatter and a grin that said “trust me, this is going to be awesome or mildly illegal,” Mad Dog turned our group of mild-mannered mortals into a squadron of whitewater warriors.

By the end, we were soaked, screaming with joy, and spiritually reborn. My arms still hurt, my voice is gone, and I haven’t stopped smiling in three days.

If you are even thinking of doing a whitewater trip, stop thinking. Book Wildwaters. Demand Mad Dog. Prepare to feel alive like never before.

This wasn’t a tour. This was a river...

My family and I did the 17 mile raft trip yesterday with Wild Waters and it was AMAZING, SO SO MUCH FUN! There are quite a few rafting companies around to choose from but we’re extremely happy we went with Wild Waters!!! We had the best time from the moment we got on the bus to head over to the starting point, all the way to the moment the trip ended and we got back to the buses to get back to our cars! They had a really nice shop when we arrived, where you could purchase any merchandise you might’ve forgotten or needed but didn’t have for the 17 mile trip and they also provided a nice lunch for everyone with snacks and water! The staff, in my opinion, made the trip! They were all extremely friendly and very informative to make sure to explain the rules so we all had a fun but safe trip!! Cade was our personal trip guide and he was fantastic! I think he made our time the best it could be and we couldn’t be more grateful! I highly recommend them and can’t wait to book another trip next year when we come back for vacation!!! Thank you again for the great experience! It’s something we will...

Yesterday we took our 10 year old and 8 year old white water rafting for the first time and they absolutely loved it! My 8 year old was very nervous at first but she immediately got over her fears because it was so much fun! Our guide was Sam, aka Jello, and he was awesome with the kids and such a great guide who knew the waters in the river super well. He made the rafting super fun. Besides the beautiful scenery, and fun - but not so scary rapids - along the river tour we saw bald eagles, osprey, ducks and a turkey vulture... we got lots of opportunities for swimming while we drifted alongside the rafts. My kids a pretty outdoorsy and they asked for a cliff jump- which about half way down - there is a big rock all of the rafts can pull up to and you can jump off! It was only about a 10 foot drop, so it was not too much for little 8 year olds! There are some other fun secrets that the guides did through the day to make it fun, but I will leave those as a surprise for new rafters! We loved the full day tour, it is...

We had a great time with Annalise as our guide and with Pat as back up! They made a very cold day super fun. Our original tour had to be moved because of water issues, but the company was great and made sure we were accommodated and chose the best option as a replacement. Only one suggestion: most tours have really outgoing, engaging people. We had several employees with us and they were very timid, quiet and kept to themselves or engaged with each other. While it worked for us on this particular trip because we made our own fun, there’s definitely room for improvement. Guests should feel like the experience is about them, but it sort of felt like we were along for the trip as outsiders amongst a group of friends (the employees). I forgot the gentlemen’s name at the check in desk but he was awesome! Engaging, knowledgeable and helpful! HE would be an amazing tour guide! Nevertheless, we were kept safe and had a great time so that’s the most important thing!

Had a wonderful day with this rafting outfitter. The rapids were mainly class III with a few class IV, so perfect for a family outing. Our guide kept our group entertained and safely inside the raft. Recommend this company and section of the Hudson if you are in upstate NY.

We rented a private raft with friends and had Abby as our guide. She was fun, knowledgeable, and in her second year as a guide she made this trip a memorable one. We did the 17 mile Hudson River trip, had a gorgeous July day with perfect weather, and had a thrilling experience. My 11 year old son paddled for the first time (last 2 times he sat in front as a hood piece) and was extremely anxious and Abby made sure he was comfortable. He paddled a bit, even on the class 4 rapids, and rode in front a bit getting happily smacked in the face with waves. She even let him ride rodeo style in the front on a set of waves as he bucked with one hand until a wave knocked him back into the raft (safely). I jumped off the rock for the first time along with my son. I still can't believe i did it! We come back every year and it's always a bit different since you can't control the rapids and every guide has their own style. I highly recommend this trip
