This review is for the Hootenanny- Fun event with good local music and great beer selection. Very impressed with beer selection and all the different local craft brews brought in. The not so good is how many people they jam in here. Way oversold event. Not enough room for everyone to get into bigtop tent and the tent is so low you can't even see band if you're sitting outside. Like I said beer is good but adds up quick at $6 a pop. Event feels like it should be free and is definitely overrated. One hammerslagen log with very long lines. Very limited hours for all events closing by 5 including area to buy apple pie etc. Wild to expect people to be able to spend 12hrs here. Keep events/buildings open longer. Food trucks had good variety but very limited seating and non-existent trash cans in food eating area. Ran out of event merchandise by 5. Getting in parking was smooth with workers but leaving was a disaster and dangerous with no traffic control on highway. Seems poorly organized for an event going on for a few years and comes off as a money grab...
Read moreIt's a really nice place. Very pretty, great apples, and beautiful scenery. *My only complaint revolves around opening on the weekends. If you're going to open on a Saturday at 10, serve alcohol at opening, this is Wisconsin. 🤷♂️ People show up, but can't get a drink (alcohol) until 12. Nobody comes here to get wasted, it would just be nice to have a craft beer or a Cider Mule. Instead we find ourselves waiting around for 2 hours fending off the bees just to enjoy a local craft brew. Take this suggestion and capitalize on it. There's a fortune in selling craft beers at a small venue. People pay big bucks and don't even hesitate at the price. Pretty sure I'm not the only one with this...

Once we stepped outside, we were greeted by the sight of a beer garden with live music, plus the sight of a train (a tractor pulling wagons) parked ahead of rolling hills topped with orchards.
The tractor took us out to where we could pick our own apples, and we had a blast picking a bagful of apples ($12 for a small bag, and we managed to fit 8 LARGE apples in it).
The staff was super friendly and welcoming, and the whole experience overall was wholesome and enjoyable. It was definitely worth a three hour drive just...
