My husband and I bought a brand new 2024 Chevy Traverse last Thursday. About halfway home after purchasing it, the check engine light came on. I informed the sales woman that we worked with about the check engine light and she said to bring it back up to the shop on Friday to get looked at. I informed her I had to work so I could drop off the car but would need a loaner to get to work. She meet me at the shop around 8am but none of her bosses were there to tell her what vehicle to give me as a loaner. She ended up giving me my old vehicle that I traded in for the purchase. She told me she would update me later in the day about my vehicle. By 2pm that day I hadnât heard anything from her so I texted her for an update. She told me âexpect to keep your Rogue (my old car) for the weekend.â I said okay, but did they look at my new vehicle and see what code it was pulling for the light? She informed me that âservice is very busy today so Iâm staying away from there.â I informed my husband about it and he decided to stop by the shop to see what was going on. When he walked in, no one greeted him and he had to ask if anyone there would help him. Most people ran back into their offices but one guy in service asked him what he needed. My husband asked about my car and what was wrong. No one really had an answer and my husband was escorted to the waiting room for about 20 minutes before someone came out to see him. The guy said âitâs the master cylinderâ and tried to hurry my husband out the door. As someone who works on all of his cars and did a motor swap on his own truck, he wasnât buying it and wanted more info. He asked why a master cylinder was bad on a brand new vehicle, what code the vehicle threw and he wanted to see it on paper. They did a print out and another tech came out and informed him that it was a brake sensor but it is housed in the master cylinder and in order to fix it, the master cylinder has to be replaced. My husband believes that while he was in the waiting room, thatâs when they scanned my car rather than doing it first thing in the morning when I dropped it off. The tech said they would have more answers for us Monday at noon and I could keep the loaner for the weekend. Monday rolls around and no one calls my by noon. I call the service department at 12:30 and everyone was out to lunch, and I was told someone would call me back shortly. By 2pm, no one had called me back so I called service again. They put my on hold briefly and came back to say that they ordered the part from GM and it should be here in 3-5 business days and that when it gets here, my car will be top priority to get fixed and back to me. The service guy apologized that my brand new car was having these issues. I asked him about keeping my loaner since we were told it was only good through the weekend. He said he would have to ask and get back to me. At 4pm he called me back and said he talked to the owner and I could keep my loaner until my car is fixed. So far we are still waiting for my car to be fixed and if we donât hear anything by next Tuesday, we will be calling again to find out if the part is there and if my car is getting fixed. This far, we are very frustrated with the service and professionalism that Jack McNerney dealership has shown us. We understand that things happen to cars but are upset that we have been treated like this and kind of gotten the run around with our new car. We both have friends that work at other car dealerships and theyâve said they would never treat a customer like this, especially if they just bought a brand new car. After this, we would NOT recommend this dealership to any of our family or friends and most likely will NOT be going back there for anything...
Read moreI came in for an inspection on my 2019 Silverado with 23,500 miles. I was told my Brakes pads and rotors were bad all around and would not pass inspection, among other things. All though later, the front was barely passable but the rear needed to be replaced at my cost, not under any warranty. I understand that brakes are a wear item and are not âtechnically â warrantable however I was told that if there was anything McNerney could do to help they would but their hands were tied. I paid my oil change and took my truck directly to another Chevy Dealer, 45 Minutes away! What a difference in Customer service. I was told that they would do a full brake evaluation and let me know in the morning. Phone rang shortly after 10 the next morning, good news, due to the age and mileage on my truck, the rear brake rotors were going to be replaced under warranty but I would have to pay for brake pads. The Front rotors were able to be turned down and the brake pads were still in good shape. With the inspection my bill was $209 out the door. You guys wanted $1600+++ and at no point were you guys looking to do anything to help me, the customer. This is really disappointing, considering I now live , physically directly across the highway from you guys. I own 2 New Silverados and my company is constantly looking to upgrade our current van and truck fleet(17 Vehicles) . I can promise you, I nor my company will ever be back to Jack McNerney Chevrolet. What a shame, neighbor. Good luck to you guys and...
Read moreIâd give zero stars if I could. What started as a decent/good experience quickly fizzled into concerns that were never addressed by the dealership and ultimately led to me backing out of the sale.
I was supposed to pick up a newer vehicle and the day of was told that the car would not be ready and that it had to be sent off to address a recall. While disappointing, this wasnât an issue. I asked what the recall was and never received a response. I had to reach back out several hours later after stressing about the car at work only to be told that the car didnât get sent off to address the recall, that it was still at the dealership for âreprogrammingâ â I asked for clarification multiple times and never got it. I said I wasnât comfortable buying this car because my concerns werenât being addressed and I couldnât get a straight answer. Everything felt like one lie after the next. Something seemed very fishy with the whole process and Iâm glad I didnât end up buying this car.
I would tell anyone and everyone to pass on doing business with this dealership â the last text I received regarding my concerns/purchase was âOKâ and no one has bothered to call or text me since. Unprofessional is an...
