The Computer Doctor — Local services in Town of Tully

After experiencing a scary message on my PC and subsequent inability to remedy the apparent death of my hard drive I did an internet search of computer repair services in my general geographic area resulting in the name of the computer doctor . I contacted him and immediately set up a meeting to introduce my sick computer . I felt reassured by his tone and obvious familiarity with the type of problem i was experiencing . I set up a time to bring in my computer and took it in to be scrutinized . after a short time he confirmed what I already knew ... my hard drive was gone and needed replacement . He replaced the defective unit and reinstalled all of the pertinent apps and a few more at no cost to me . He tried to reclaim as much of the files as he could and succeeded in some of the most important , again at no cost to me . upon receiving the repaired computer he took the time to explain all of his efforts and included contacts to help me with any problems that may arise . he also included the bad hard drive and explained exactly why it had failed . In my experience this is unusual . Typically I get , its fixed , good luck , call me to make another appointment . Rich seems very personable , knowledgeable , and actually concerned . BTW the only reason I rated him a 4 is because the only thing i have done so far is to write this rating , I have yet to see how well this goes but have confidence . UPDATE 7/2/2020 Having had the opportunity to use my computer for several hours now I can say that I am very well pleased by Rich's work . My computer runs faster , has more usable features , and as a bonus Rich installed a free virus protection program which he assured me is better than my former one . The Computer Doctor...

I wasn't going to write this until I called and they way I was treated and blown off by the owner. Yes I am a competitor but this is not spam. I didn't even know they existed until my customer told me about them. This is all second hand information I got from my customer but I have no reason to doubt them and what happened and how he was treated by these guys. The Computer Dr is a joke. A customer brought their less than a year old Lenovo All in One to them and the first thing they did was try to sell him another PC. After he declined they said there was nothing they could do because he needed a new motherboard. He then brought the PC to me and I have been in business for 25 years. One of the first questions I asked is when did he purchase the PC. He said last August. Now with most OEM PCs they offer a 1 year warranty with a 30 day grace period. The first thing I did was contact Lenovo support and the PC was covered. Any Tech should know to do this! It took about a month and he got it back today. It's like a brand new machine. I didn't want to charge him a dime because of all he already went through with the PC. It is also worth have a life long customer. He did pay me and I tried to refuse but he did anyway. Another happy customer that will tell all his friends about me. So many people are in it to make a quick buck and forget how important customers are. To me I always put the customer first!! My computer failed to boot. I tried the easy stuff but to no avail. After calling a few options, I decided to try the Computer Doctor located in Tully. Rich was upfront with the base cost and gave me an approximate time frame for repair depending upon what he found. I dropped it off on a Thursday around 4:30 and by Tuesday, he had called to inform me what the status was, what had been done and what he recommended would be helpful. We discussed price and from there my computer was ready to be picked up within a day. He had backed up my data, found and removed a coupled of viruses and optimized it. I have had it a week now and can say, it not only boots up but is moving much smoother and faster than it was before.

When I picked it up, Rich went over what he had done, pointed out some issues I may encounter moving forward as this machine is over 11 years old, working on older hardware and software. He gave me some tips and some well appreciated advice. Not only did I feel comfortable leaving my tower with Rich but I have absolutely no complaints with his work.
