I went recently and notice that the prices on the bric-a-brac was much more āambitiousā than when I was lat there, pre-covid. There was a relatively sparse selection of not-particularly-interesting overpriced items nicely displayed. I work in a thrift shop downstate, and items we generally sell for 25Ā¢ were marked at $2, $3, even $4. Our $5 were selling for $15. A lamp, identical to the one Iād purchased at the Kingston Salvation Army just the day before was marked $15, and another, Iād actually seen brand new at a discount store for $13 earlier in the day was also marked $15. The prices on the furniture were better aligned with reality, and I appreciate the reductions by color, though most items were the us reduced color. Received a call from a rude employee or volunteer telling me that if I didnāt pick up my items by their next day of business they would be put back on the sales floor even after I explained I had left a message that I needed more time to find someone with a large pickup truck that would be available between 11am and 4pm to pick...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAfter I moved into my new house, I started shopping at this store. I've gone back many times, and I've certainly furnished at least half my house with items I bought here. It's a great place to shop. They get new things all the time, so if I didn't find what I wanted the first time, I'd wait a week or so and go again. The people working there are always very nice and helpful. And needless to say, there's no pressure from the workers. It's a lot of fun...
