After you have tried your golf experience and skills on all the Hudson Valley golf courses have to offer. Go to the Wiltwyck Golf Club and treat yourself to a truly professional experience. From the moment you arrive on the property they are there to meet you and make you feel special like it is your home course. Everyone that works there wears a smile and is ready to help with any needs or questions. Often without you haven’t to even ask. They work together as a family and treat you like a family friend and that makes you smile. Come early to your tee time and warm up on the free driving range with free balls and large putting green. The course is setup and maintained every day like you are playing in a tournament that day. Each player is provided with a map and information on each whole that explains all challenges and hazards to be aware of before teeing off to assist you. After you start and get on your way they are thoughtful monitoring play so you’re not bogged down by slow play up ahead of you, another professional plus. When you complete your round don’t forget to check out the fine eating and beverage choices with continued top notch service. I was also treated to a refreshing swim in their great pool. So don’t settle for anything less than the best The...
Read moreThis course is way overpriced at $85 during the weekdays. Greens and fairways were in OK condition but nothing else was remotely special; there are MUCH better options around. The course is also in need of some serious drainage upgrades: all of the sand traps were hard packed and filled with hundreds of small flying insects, some cups were filled with water and fairways and rough were swamped in low lying places.
Worst of all, we played as a twosome and the fivesome(!) of slow moving golfers ahead of us (4 walking and one in an cart) never once offered to let us play through although we waited for them on nearly every shot. At times they had at least two open holes ahead of them. Allowing a fivesome out is not something I would expect of a course that holds itself in such high regard. This course desperately needs a starter and rangers on the course enforcing the pace of play.
Overall, this was not a great experience for the price. On the positive side, the club professional Trevor seemed like a great guy and was very welcoming, unlike a few of the members we encountered...
Read moreI threw a 70th Birthday for a member of my office in the Tavern at Wiltwyck on May 11th and it was amazing. The party was supposed to be at the NEW outside bar but due to the wind and weather they were so accommodating, Judith the Event Manager made it possible for me to move the party inside. Judith was so helpful in planning and setting up the party, she was on top of everything! Anything that I needed, she was right there to help me with or do for me. All the staff serving the party were terrific. They were so friendly (smiling) and the service was fantastic. The food was impeccable from the cherry tomato & herb marinated mozzarella on a skewer to the mini filet mignon over a crispy baguette w/béarnaise sauce. The entire time everything was COVID cautious. My office had the best time! I am so grateful for everything they did to help me with planning & making the party great for my co-workers birthday! I highly recommend having events/parties at Wiltwyck and...
