Very decent attraction for fans of haunted houses, Realm of Darkness offers a memorable experience for teens and adults. The attraction takes place in a solid brick building. There are no hard toilets, just porta-potties outside. There is a portion of line outside, along with the ticket booth, and then a portion of line inside the building after a metal detector, with a concession window for food items including hot dogs, brats, cheeseburgers, and large cookies.
The line moves fairly quickly, even with fast pass purchasers thrown in. They alternate fast pass and general admission. I enjoyed the outside of the line more than the inside. There was music inside, but they had the bass cranked so far up you couldn't understand the lyrics and barely make out the melody to any of the songs. There were no alcohol sales, not even beer, which was a bit of a disappointment compared to TotF. The food was half decent at least; my wife and her boyfriend liked the monster cookie, it was soft and tasted well made. I myself had a brat, and it was alright. They had a small selection of condiments for toppings.
The actors are great, we arrived when the attraction opened, so they were fresh and ready to go, and did their jobs very well. They sent us through as a group of six. The scares and interactivity begin as soon as the attraction starts, and without spoiling anything suffice to say it is a very well put together set, and a lot of work went into making it immersive.
The attraction is split into little sections, and each section is generally split up with doors and actors. The actors interact with guests, and they do a great job at including group members in on the fun. There are some great scares, and some really fun bits sprinkled in there as well. We'll be...
Read moreI took my son last night and this Haunt is absolutely AMAZING! We work at a Haunt all season on Friday and Saturday nights so it was so nice that they are open on Sundays. The wait was extremely short and the actors in line are phenomenal. I love the way the groups are split, it makes going through the Haunt so nice because a group of 20 doesn't bunch up in the middle. The sets and rooms are extremely detailed and well done. I am a makeup artist at our Haunt and the makeup and costumes are incredible here. Such attention to detail. Great interaction with the actors and each area is interesting. We had a phenomenal time. It was so well put together and entertaining. LOVE it! I was told this was one of the BEST haunts by a fellow Haunt actor and they were absolutely right!!! Definitely worth the hour and a half...
