Elm Tree Golf Course — Local services in Town of Virgil

I paid for two rounds of 18 holes for my fiancé and I. Got to the ninth hole when it started pouring rain and thundering. We made our way back to the club house (not even completing the ninth hole) and asked for a rain check. The person working in the club house denied a rain check (for reasons unknown) and, I was laughed out of the clubhouse by an unruly patron at the bar. Worst course I’ve ever played at. Extremely confusing design. With multiple holes crossing paths. The rough isn’t a rough it’s just dried grass with dirt and the fairway is the same so there really isn’t a rough or fairway. Extremely hilly which makes it too difficult to know where the hole you are in goes to. Then greens are either too fast or too slow which making putting extremely difficult to know how fats or soft to hit the ball. Don’t go here, they over priced...

Bruce, the owner keeps this course in great shape. It is by far the fastest draining and drying course in the area so while other course are drowning this course is playable. It is harder than it looks even for a par 35. Lots of movement and smaller greens that require some precision. Prices are far. Carts are new last year. Club house is functional.
