Went to Fleet Farm in Waupaca for painting supplies and to see if they had the paint I needed in stock. I man in the paint department I think his name was Gerald who was a lead in that department came up to the paint counter very distracted and was having a hard time focusing on what my request was. The whole time he was trying to enter in the information for the paint his walkie was going off and he kept complaining about it. It definitely didn’t give me any confidence in what he was doing. He said they didn’t have any, and because he was so distracted I ask if he could look another way? He barked at me saying he knew what he was doing. I asked if there was anyone else who could help, he got very rude and defensive and barked at me again. I asked for the supervisor, he kept trying to lie saying he was the supervisor, and I knew he wasn’t. He told me to go find one and I refused and he finally called one after how long, and then walked off. He was so rude to me and then another employee came by complaining about how he wasn’t around to help. A women came up and I assume she was the supervisor, I told her the situation and made it clear it was disrespectful to treat customers that way. I didn’t care if they didn’t have the paint I wanted, I cared that I was talked to in such a awful tone. The man who was rude came back and it seemed that the store supervisor really didn’t have empathy and was smirking when I was talking. I was so disgusted I went to another store to buy my items. If this is how fleet farm is, I won’t be shopping there any time soon. I work in customer care and the fact that I was barked at and then smirked at by the supervisor makes me believe that this store has poor training and hiring practices. Personally no true apology either, which makes me think that the staff is either so poorly trained to paid so terrible they don’t really care if they treat people that way. Would recommend going to Ace Hardware or either driving 30-40 minutes in another direction to go to a better store like Lowe’s...
Read moreNormally I am a HUGE FAN of Fleet Farm. The store in Beaver Dam, WI is awesome. The BD car service area is exemplary. Unfortunately I cannot say the same about Waupaca,WI. I took my wife's car to have her tires rotated at FF. She bought them there and this is a free service. I also had them change her oil. We use synthetic oil in all our vehicles so the total was approx. $65.00. 1 hour and 25 minutes later. It is finally done. The bill was 75.00. When I asked why they said they put some cleaner in the gas tank. I told them I didn't ask for it and didn't want it. I got serious attitude from the purple haired girl. She said" We'll take it off to make you happy." This was not said in a nice way. So I went into the store to talk to a manager. After being ignored by the customer service counter lady for 2 minutes. She finally asked if she could help me. I said I would like to talk to a manager. She told me she didn't think one was available. But a manager did show up a couple minutes later. I will give the manager credit she understood what I was saying and said she would talk to them. What I don't understand is if I had a lift and air powered tools. I could rotate tires in 15 minutes.....TOPS probably less then that. But before I started on the tires I would have taken the drain plug out as well as the oil filter. Let them drain. Once the tires were done. Put a new filter on,put the plug back in and fill her with oil 30 minutes MAX. I normally change my own oil on both vehicles but we just moved and it was easier to have them do it with the tire rotation. Lesson learned. Pickup your game Waupaca Fleet Farm or I will drive back to Beaver Dam when it comes time to put new tires on my truck in the next month or so. GOOD HELP is hard to...
Read moreAbsolutely hate this store it's completely useless to me. I live in the country about half an hour north of waupaca and when I go there it's because I NEED something not just to shop around for stuff. Almost every time I go there what I need is out of stock or I need like 5 of them and they have 1. There has been at least 20 times I've been there and they don't have one single bag of wood pellets which is my only heat. You kidding me ? In the dead of winter no pellets? These are necessary to alot of people. If i go to a store and they don't have something I need that they should normally have I walk out and leave my cart with everything in it in the middle of the aisle. If you waste my time and gas money making me go somewhere else for things you should have I get everything there and you loose my business. This particular store has lost thousands and thousands of dollars of my business because of this reason. I would have spent around 400 dollars there just yesterday but again no pellets- THIS IS THE LAST TIME I WALKED OUT THAT STORE PISSED OFF BECAUSE I WILL NEVER GO BACK I'M DONE! LOST MY BUSINESS FOR LIFE! Also their automotive employees are incompetent. Went there once for tires and they put 2 completely different tires on my rims and every vehicle I've ever brought there for tires had to have the wheel studs and lug nuts replaced because they crank them on as tight as their impact can get them and stretch the threads out. Also impossible to break loose by hand on the side of the road if you have a flat. LUG NUTS SHOULD BE HAND TORQUED TO 75-100 FTLBS NOT 1000! IDIOTS ! INCOMPETENT ! USELESS ! If I could rate a negative 5...
