Country Store Antiques — Local services in Trenton

It’s a big store with a ton of stuff. There was a total of 3 floors. When I first walked in I couldn’t even find a worker. Wasn’t until I started to explore the basement that I came across someone. She was super friendly.

It’s been said before but compared to other shops the price’s here were significantly higher. I saw another review that stated this is due to an appraiser on site that recommends prices. Not sure if that’s true though cause I didn’t ask. Similar to another review I also saw an item I wanted, that again showed up at another antique shop for cheaper.

One item in particular I was very familiar with as I specialize in collecting the type of art. I estimate that the price was around $300-$350 more than what I could find it for from a retailer elsewhere that specializes in that type of art.

Stopped by the store at 5:08pm while the neon OPEN sign was still lit up and 2 other out of town cars were in the parking lot. Upon entering the unlocked door with my daughter & grand daughter, we were told they close at 5pm. I left but then checked their web site and it clearly states that the store is open from 9:30 - 5:30. I then phoned the store at 5:25 to find out why they told us to leave. The salesclerk answered my call but when I quoted the web site business hours, she pretended we had a bad connection and couldn’t hear me. When I told her I doubted that, she all of a sudden could hear me clearly and said the web site was wrong. I told her the web site needs to be changed and the neon sign needs to be turned off on time. The salesclerk was extremely rude to us and I will never shop there nor will I send anyone else...

Owner extremely rude! Came to visit the Bar Harbor area, and decided to do some antiquing. Once in the store, my 11 yrs old son needed to use the bathroom. The owner told him bathrooms were not available. My husband thought my son misunderstood, so he inquired himself. This time the owner told my husband bathrooms were on the 2nd story. My husband asked the owner why she told my son the bathrooms were unavailable. She replied the bathrooms were being cleaned. She asked my husband if he and my son were shopping in the store.
