This was my first time at the new location of the Montgomery county fair grounds. The first thing I noticed was how much smaller it was! It wasn't much bigger than school fairs I've been to. There weren't many rides and the ones they had were kiddie rides except one or two. There were very few games to play as well. As far as food goes, there was plenty of that! I bought a small Cajun chicken and rice dish that was a huge portion and tasted amazing! Can't remember the name of the place but, I would give them a shout out if I did. I got a wonderful funnel cake topped with cherries and it was huge. Again can't remember the name of the place but, they make the perfect funnel cake. The small petting zoo was a plus but, wish it had been in a bigger tent. There wasn't a whole lot to see in the exhibition building. The best part there was the stuffed animals and a very nice Tupperware lady and her booth. There was also a tent where they had a live band playing and plenty of people seemed to be enjoying that. There were a lot of sheriff's officers there so there was plenty of security. Another change that I wasn't crazy about is that once you walk in, you can't leave and get back in. Used to be that you could! Anywho, overall it was an okay time. It would be a much better time for adults if there was more to do. If you have kids, they will enjoy the rides and the...
Read moreOur first visit here and not hard to find with google directions. Nice parking area in the front (cemented). Easy to find the entrance gate, the crew there were very poly and engaged talking with us. The building along the entrance was very nice and air conditioning along with clean bathrooms. Outside this area was cemented for easy walking too. Had nice vendors inside the building and out. They had a tent behind this building with tent with a lot of tables and chairs with music playing. We visited the chicken building, they had the rabbits, goats, and sheep in this decent size barn. It was well ventilated along with their own show arena. The next barns/building were spaced next to each other. The beef area didn’t have a large number in there but what they did have was kept clean and ventilated, they also had their own show arena. The last animal barn/building had the hogs on one end and the horses on the other. Quite a few hogs in the building and the horse stall were very nice. We didn’t see any royalty and even asked. Not disappointed due to us seeing that classes/shows were going on. They had a large selection of food trucks in the center of the fair. We didn’t make it to the side with the rides but...
Read moreDo not attend this fair! As a vendor you will lose money also the customer service with Lori Morgan is terrible. Employees will damage and steal your items be aware. Montgomery Fair employees will steal items from their own fairgrounds and turn it into the insurance company. There is proff of this with golf carts. Worst experience I have ever had at a fairgrounds. I lost thousands do to office employees being lazy and sending me copies of contracts that I have never signed. The insurance company they use Hylant is just a scam and I will come back to this fairgrounds again. Over 20 other vendors feel the same way. When a storm hit the office did not do there duty to help anyone out. No phone calls or emails have been answered. I received a phone call my tent was across the parking lot but when I got to the fair the tent is next to the car. None of this makes sense at all. Car has scratches on it and rope untied from the car...
