I love my new "lowboy" 6U rolling rack. It really provides some of the best value in my studio. I have a small space that I have continued to fine tune for a couple of years now, and each time, it's the little things. It's the $70 patchbay not the $2k compressor that really changes the game.. and in this case, it's my new rack. I'd run out of space in my main rack, but had also customized it so thoroughly, with home built shelves for mic power supplies & cable storage that I wasn't ready to give 'er up. So I researched some smaller rack options before contacting Audiorax to see if they could make me something to fit my exact needs and space. After a few rounds back and forth, Joel designed and built me a beautiful custom solution for an incredibly reasonable price. The rack rolls in perfectly under my desk while retaining exactly the amount of legroom I need to truly be comfortable. I'd initially felt tempted by a little extra space, but reflecting back I'm so very pleased that I stuck with the 6U design. I can cross my legs easily under my desk, and my chair slides all the way in under the desk. The construction is obviously very meticulous with interlocking finger joints running the length of all connections. The wheels are mounted towards the corners in such a way that the balance feels solid and grounded while the mobility is smooth, even with a 50lb amp in the top position. The routed handle make sit a breeze to slide in and out, and the fit underneath my desk is like a glove. The rack came shipped in nested boxes, wrapped with extreme care and professionalism. Joel and his team have obviously been doing this a while. To take on a custom order and so thoroughly knock it out of the park while keeping the price so approachable almost seems too good to be true, but this rack optimizes the space in my little room perfectly, it improves my workflow, increases access to my tools and makes the room feel cleaner and more tuned. I could not be happier. Check 'em out.

I ordered a 6U rack in black walnut with finger joint construction. The rack itself was very well constructed, but I was not super excited by the finish color or the quality of the wood pieces selected (lots of knots). The finish they used was good from a durability standpoint IMO, but I was expecting a rack that looks like their website example. At this price point, I was hoping for better quality figuring and more uniformity in the black walnut. If I had known, I would have ordered the rack unfinished, as I ended up taking the rack to my Luthier and had him strip and refinish it with amber lacquer, similar to what is on the back of high-end Fender guitar necks. I will post pics of the rack as delivered and after the refinish. Maybe I am being very picky, but I bought this rack for my home studio and wanted a certain look. After the refinish, I am pleased with it.

Building a home mini-studio and I have ordered 4 racks so far. 1x Economy 2U Desktop Turret, 2x Economy 8U Rollarounds, 1x Premium 3U Desktop Rack. I am still waiting on the one, but everything else has been excellent quality. Solidly built and finished nicely. Even the "economy" pieces are excellent. Much better than some other custom rack-makers. Any questions I have had have been answered quickly and accurately. I also love to go ham on their clearance section from time to time, as there are some nice deals there. I will continue to do business with this place. Do note that it takes some time to get your custom pieces ordered and shipped (4-6 weeks depending on quality level), just like other rack-crafters, but has been worth it.

My Audiorax look good, make my workspace more comfortable and more productive - love them!

I have been using standard steel racks for years and when I wanted to streamline my workflow and get the controls right in front of me I couldn't find a metal one with enough rack space that I liked. I have two primary work areas a live-streaming desk and an editing workstation (see photos).

I'm not sure how I stumbled onto Audiorax but I'm glad I did. I was a bit nervous about using wooden racks because I wasn't sure they would be as sturdy as the metal ones. I was so wrong! The Audiorax I purchased are made for good hard wood. They are well built and more sturdy than any of the metal racks I've purchased.

If you're looking for solid, sturdy equipment racks that will keep your equipment neat and look good at the same time... you'll find it at...
