I originally called sunshine cleaners over the phone to get a quote or ballpark on how much it would cost me to get my clothing cleaned. The guy sounded a little bit Shady on the phone, but ended up giving me prices. So I packed up all the clothes and headed there when I got there I was in a rush and didn’t realize he had told me $360 to clean 16 pieces of clothing when he originally told me over the phone after adding up all the prices he gave me it would come up to around $160. After giving me the price in store, he pulled me to the back showed me a couple of the pieces he was cleaning (which were designer since all the clothes I brought in were expensive brands as well) by the time I got back to the front, he just told me OK we’ll come back next week and I will have your clothing ready so I said OK got in my car called my fiancé and told her the price she just started laughing at me and said that does not sound right at all so I went ahead and called two other places which quoted me around $175. I ended up coming back sunshine cleaners, and told him to not clean the clothing because the price did not sound Right and picked up my clothing right when I walked in he told me I’ll give you 25% off and clean them for $220 in my head. I’m thinking how did you go from $360 to $220? That just does not sound right at all so I just told him to pack my things up which we did and headed to the other place where I got charged $175 and they Finished cleaning them faster than him and did a great job. Please stay far away from this Scammer, he sees designer clothing, and thinks he can charge double what he...
Read moreBy default, I'm obligated to give one star or else I would give none. I had to begin taking my shirts here after my original dry cleaners moved out of the city. At first this place did a fairly good job and then the problems began to occur. I first noticed a white stain on one of the collar of my shirts. I didn't think to much of and was able to successfully wipe it off. Then I noticed a huge white stain on one of my shirts. Unfortunately, for me it was too late when I noticed it b/c I was already at work sitting at my desk. Needless to say my confidence level was pretty low that day. This is the straw that broke the camels back.... I come home from work in a rush getting ready for a date night with my wife. Grab one of my most favorite $300+ shirts and noticed the sleeve buttons has been seared away and literally crumbled in my hands. Then I go to grab a second shirt and the bottom of the shirts looked like it sat in the bottom of a full trash bag for a week b/c it was so balled up and wrinkled and looked terrible. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR SEEK ELSEWHERE FOR A DRY CLEANERS AND AVOID THIS LOUSY PLACE...
Read moreThis review is to share a factual account of my experience. On May 20, 2025, I dropped off three items for cleaning and paid a fee of $99.85. On June 10, 2025, I picked them up and found they were all damaged.
Z Zegna Jacket: Returned with two holes, one in the wool knit and one on the shoulder.
Loulou Studio Coat: Returned with widespread discoloration across the fabric.
Faux Fur Jacket: Returned with the fur severely matted and coarse.
The items were in good condition when dropped off. The owner denied responsibility for the damage.
I sent a formal demand letter via USPS Certified Mail on Jun 20, 2025, requesting a refund and compensation for the documented value of the destroyed items. The business received the letter on Jun 24, 2025, but did not respond by the 15-business-day deadline.
Due to the damage to my property and the business's refusal to resolve the matter, I have filed formal complaints with the Better Business Bureau and the Michigan Attorney General's Office. I would advise other customers to be cautious when entrusting valuable items to this...
