Donner Pass Rest Area Westbound — Local services in Truckee

It’s Hazardous and dangerous for people to go right next to the rest area and play with the snow not knowing there’s a frozen lake and could easily fall in there . I saw kids playing as far as on top in the middle of the frozen lake not knowing there’s a lake they are on top and could easily fall in if it cracks 😱😱😱 no danger signs there’s a lake or fencing on the lake and could potentially result in death or drowning!! Lack of safety on this part!! Should have warning signs when it s led so people can see there’s a lake...

I spent a relaxing night cuddled up to my neck pillow over yonder at Donner Pass RAW. No one messed with me, my cargo nor my transport. Like all rest areas, Donner Pass RAW has some strange birds, but there were some straight shooters as well. Wish they’d install some showers so I don’t have to rent a room in San Jose before flying out. I’m pretty certain they’d claim I was a biohazard smelling like I did after snoozing at Donner Pass RAW. What a disappointment! The state of California has gone to crap. The rest stop looked like a ghetto and looked down. Nice pond and wooded area, (locked down). Interior, gang graffiti and vandalism everywhere and the bathrooms were disgusting. God only knows what that cost us taxpayers, I'm sure it was substantial. The thing that irritates me is that caltrans is right across hwy 80 about 1500 yards away and no one has security cameras to catch these outstanding citizens. No one can monitor...
