AMC theatres are great, overall. I’m quite sure. But, our Bow Tie AMC Theatre at 100 Quarry Road, Trumbull, CT. 06611 must be one of the elite locations for AMC theatres, by far!

Their guest relations at their point of sale is extremely proficient. As a result, waiting on lines for a prolong period of time is a thing of the past in this location.
Once you arrive at the counter you feel the quality care and professionalism.
Our visit included a group of 6 family members. All questions were accepted. But the response was multi-layered and was both business appropriate and extremely thorough.
Given us the sense that no matter what option we take for our movie moment the outcome will remain the same.
Comfort, optimum service, and that a great viewing event was awaiting us.
Great, great training!
This establishment has a Hollywood feel to it with top notch maintenance throughout.
The environment felt both welcoming and safe! We knew we were in great hands.
My oldest son who came to visit us from the Sunshine State of Florida ☀️ 🍊 for the Christmas 🎄 holiday misplaced his cell phone during his seating time at a very cozy and delightful lounge area.
We were waiting for our movie to begin and our movie room to be prepared.
This gave my family and I time to converse and to reinforce our family tides in a great space.
We had no doubt we would retrieve his cell. Somehow it would show up. Once we asked staff about the incident they immediately expressed with pride, “we have a cell phone we just found.”
My son was so relieved to know that staff is not only professional but ethical and extremely service-driven.
We were able to confirm that indeed it was his cell phone and the return was both thorough and yet immediate, at the same time.
All I can say overall that not only I recommend this location, but I call this location home for all of my family and I movie theater 🎭 needs!
Side Note 📝: The seats that are provided in the theatre to watch the movie are first class rated. It must be.
My oldest son could not believe the level of comfort his seat was providing, and the different positions It can place you in.
A special shout out to Senior Manager Garrett Macolino. Great procedure implementation and great class! Yes, we were impressed.
But, my family and I must say that our center stage mega super 5 star ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ staff member extraordinaire and the epitome of guest relation goes out to Kadeem C.
Thank you for treating my family and I with luxury brand style service. Your conversations were both professional and personable. He was the initial contact, regarding my son’s cell phone being misplaced.
My family and I agree that this staff member has a bright future in guest relations/ hospitality/ and a massive potential in marketing brand management, for sure.
Oh what a late afternoon & night we had.
Yes, the actual movie itself we viewed was the bomb 💣! A true icing 🧁 on the cake.
Thank you 🙏🏽 Bow Tie AMC Theatre...
Read moreUpdate 6/2024. Things have gotten better here. It's a little more pricier, but times have changed; inflation is an issue everywhere. Moving on, the food selection and quality are much better than I previously stated. They've added some really nice state of the art seating in their BTX theater. The place always seems clean. And while you'll occasionally encounter an attitudinal young one, the service here is usually good. My only gripe, and why I haven't given 5 stars, is the start times for showings are too late. I work a 12-hour rotating shift. I'm often off on the weekdays. More often than not, I'd like to catch a late morning, early afternoon showing, but for the most part, nearly all of the showings are after 1 or 2 pm. This makes it impossible to see a showing with my wife - kid free - and still make it in time to pick the kiddos up from school on time. Aside from that, AMC Marquis 16 is a top-tier theater.
Was a 5-star theatre before AMC bought it. Even before Covid, after they renovated it, Bowtie was my preferred movie theater. Their checken tenders and fries were a selling point, lol. Honestly, it was like dinner and a movie; it was good. The popcorn was tastier. The whole experience was better than it is now. AMC's rewards program is eh. The food is nothing special. They got rid of the chicken tenders, the fries, and the cheese curds. They replaced them with a pizza and an impossible burger. No thanks. Their popcorn tastes stale and bland. Also, as someone else stated, it's like a ghost town in there now. Even after businesses began to fully open back up in 2021, it seemed busier than it is now.
I suggest they get better food selection; tweek their rewards program; and maybe get their clerks to act like their dealing with human beings when tending to customers. I worked here when I was 16; the job can be boring. Nevertheless, when you work in customer service, your people skills are held to a...
Read moreI go to the movies maybe once every two years. The high prices keep me from being a regular. So I went to go see a movie with a friend and my nephew came along to see some anime film. His film was rated R,I believe. He's well over 18, he's 6'2" and just over 250lbs, with full facial hair. The kid at the counter said he needed ID. we told him we didn't have it. He said then I'd have to buy a ticket to his movie too, and he can get admitted. To see an anime film! I had to leave and go all the way back to town to get his ID. now rules are rules, I get it. But we got back to the theatre, bought the ticket. And guess what.. there was not one person at the door. There was not anyone at ANY of the hall entrances where the theaters were. No one even asked to see MY ticket. No one asked to see HIS ticket. We walked in along with mounds of other people, who were also not checked. In fact when my movie was done, I walked out of the hall where my movie showed, into the hall where his was, peeked in every theater door to see where his was showing, and sat and watched the last HOUR of his movie with him. My point: theatres are dying. People will choose any other option than to spend a hundred bucks for a movie date. But they had 2 people coming to pay for tickets and snacks, and SENT US BACK HOME TO GET ID FOR A TICKET THAT NOBODY EVEN CHECKED. I could have walked in there and watched EVERY movie playing in any theater I wanted. Now, because of this experience, I will NEVER go back to this location again. I know it doesn't make or break them considering I don't go often. But if everyone who has this kind of experience stops going, it will make quite an impact. I commend the kid at the desk for sticking to the rules, but the theatre itself has got to do better. Don't make me follow the rules and then you don't do...
