Superior Grocers — Local services in Tulare

So I love that we now have a store very close by that sells so many more items. This is the second time I’ve got marinated meat. The 2nd time the meat department guys can’t explain cuts of meats. Last time my meat had lots of fat which every store that sells ranchera always trims it because of the expensive price. This time it’s even worse. Probably over a pound of fat in the 2 pounds I bought. The marinade isn’t even all over the meat. For this price and the horrible quality it is unacceptable. I will buy at Vallarta or another meat market across town. Please hire butchers who know what they are doing. Groceries and especially meat are expensive. And i just paid for 50% fat I’ll throw away because i will not eat it. Not sure what I scraped off this meat on the second pic it looked old and gross. This meat I was sold looks nothing at all like ranchera! I know it should have marbling but not huge chunks of hard fat. They are ripping people off. Great place. And cheap too... disregard that 1 star comment I can tell it's a hater. Because it only has 1 review. And yes they speak Spanish, and it's not really expensive. Yes there some stuff that might be but the quality is higher than cheap locations. They have red tag specials too.

Update 2/ 3 : at first their meat department was a bit slow like less workers but as time passed I appreciate the owner seeing this as an issue and hired more workers. Another thing is I noticed this place has super negative reviews but they keep claiming Vallarta is Better when it's clearly not lol. I'm pretty sure it's Vallarta Ownership who is lying about there reviews just to try making them business better. But overall Superior Grocers sells food that is not rotten like other "places" and I see people complaining prices. And yes there is some that are more than other places. But that's because it's not on special but on special I see many things beat...

We’ve been grocery shopping the last few months but when we get hot food there it’s a hit and miss with the ladies that work back there. 90% of the time they act like they don’t see me and then when I try to get their attention they act like I’m not there. Went there today and asked for the carnitas dinner meal and I asked if I can do double rice instead of beans and they said they can’t do it. Mind that when I’ve gotten the meal before they always give me double rice when I ask. So I told them that and then they said “oh I don’t know I don’t know we can’t don’t that I don’t know” like Jesus Christ. They weren’t even busy either and they’ll ignore you. Super disrespectful and I don’t even show I’m upset when I finally do get helped but god forbid I started being disrespectful to them. Hopefully a manager or owners sees this and...
