MTD Shipping — Local services in Tupelo

All the signs say Stanley Black & Decker around here. My paperwork showed picking up from MTD Products with an address @ 5484. There’s no address on the shipping gate sign. So I went past it, thinking it’s a different business.

I located the entrance with the 5484 address, about a quarter mile ahead on the right instead of left, but the sign still says Stanley Black & Decker, and this is not a truck entrance. So i go up another 1/4 mile and take a right to turn around and park on the shoulder to figure this out.

Bring out the Google Maps machine to find in google maps, it shows this IS MTD. But yet all signage says Stanley…..

So anyways, took the left back out onto 145 and then into the shipping entrance on the right. Except, there’s only room for 2 trucks - IF the moron in front goes all the way to the stop sign. There’s room for 1 at the stop sign for check in, 1 behind them as long as idiot up front pulls up, and that’s it. So then you gotta wait on the street, luckily it’s 2 lanes but you’re still stopping in a live traffic lane. And all the truck traffic goes in and out this gate as well as the employees for this warehouse. So now if you’re stuck waiting on the street to pull in because it takes the guard 5 mins per truck to simply sign them in, you gotta take a harrrrrrd right to get in, and there’s a huge curb so be careful.

Once you waste 5 mins checking in with security, they direct you to a spot to park and wait and give you a sheet with a phone number to call and check in a 2nd time. This person assigns you a dock, back up, they load (been here 40mins yet, backed up but not being loaded……) and then they leave BOL and seal in the back.

Hopefully not here all dang day to get loaded...

Done my homework and looked at map as to where I was picking up at. On the map, it shows that shipping is across from where the address is. Got here a little early. The lady at the guard shack was friendly. Came in and parked where I was instructed to, called number on the paper I was given. The lady was nice, gave her my pickup number and put me on a door. My appointment was at 13:30, it’s now 14:24. I move every once in a while, but still getting loaded I guess. So far, not a bad place since it’s only 45 minutes from my homestead. Load isn’t very heavy neither, like 29,000 lbs. southern...

I arrived at 1700 for a "hot load", load won't be ready until 0630, but I can stay on site. 0200 some lady is pounding on my door demanding I move because loaded trailers have to park somewhere else, I said I'm empty and the load won't be ready until 0630,and she demands I come to the office. 30min later she decides my load won't be ready until 0630 and sends me back to my truck, no apologies just a good hour of lost sleep. At 0630 I got a door and at 1300 I'm finally loaded but the seal number doesn't match the bol....
