I would give them zero stars if I could. Get ready for a story.
We bought a washer and dryer from them a year ago. Within the first 90 days (90 day warranty), there was one time I used a specialty cycle and the water never stopped filling. Luckily I caught it early and the water has just barely started to overflow. I called and explained the problem and they arranged for a technician to come look at it. A day later I get a call saying she told the technician what I had told her and he said it was “supposed to do that and they’re not going to come”. I know nothing about washers so I believed them.
Worked fine for a couple more months, and then the same thing happened, one day it just didn’t stop filling. This time I didn’t catch it for about 30 min and it flooded our house. We an inch of standing water in our laundry room, bathroom, hallway, and living room. We had to rip carpet, take out baseboards, etc. I called a&r, furious, and they would just give me the run around. “Oh can you email me the model number?” “Send me pictures of it” “the technician will call to schedule something tomorrow” and then they’d never follow up. So my husband did some YouTube research and fixed them problem himself. he did it correctly and checked every setting on the washer. They all worked. The washer worked fine again for 8 months.
Then just two days ago, again, it never stopped filling and flooded our house, AGAIN. More damage than last time. I assume whatever the issue is, is why it was refurbished in the first place. Now the washer is going to the junk yard and we learned our lesson...
Read moreI am not recomand any one to do business with A&R appliances. On or about May 16, 2018, the heating element of my dryer got burnt but I’m too busy to fix it myself so I called A&R appliance. The technician sucks and corupted. He charged $80.00 for the diagnoses but would not provide a receipt. When I ask him why no receipt?. He says well, we never write a receipt. He also told me that he does not have the parts today and will have to come back tomorrow. He didn’t come back For two weeks. He showed up while I’m not home and told my wife that he fixed it and charged her again for $150.00. After a week, the dryer went bad again. I called the office spoke with the receptionist and she inform me that they are too busy and will have to call me back. Again, she never return my call back. The scheduled appointment fell through do to their "TECH" being behind, so I had to reschedule the next day and take another day off of work.They replaced the "water valve." Not with a new part, but with another broken part from a refurbished fridge. So called "New" part did not work and ice maker still did not function. Upon contacting them, the responses were a so very generic, "I understand." They eventually contacted me at 1pm on a tuesday to see if they could come out. I work a Mon - Fri schedule so wasn't home.
