Turrell Travel Center — Local services in Turrell

👎👎👎👎👎 I could tell that this started out as a really nice store. Possibly had a a renovation in the past. But just like others, somebody bought this store looking to make some money. The store makes good money but nobody wants to fix anything, clean anything, etc. They want the money but don't want to invest back into their infrastructure to keep it clean and nice looking and appealing to customers. Then they have the nerve to CHARGE people for PARKING??? WHAT ARE WE GETTING FOR OUR MONEY? This isn't how Americans run a business. What you have might be acceptable in whatever country you came from. But it's NOT acceptable here. I know nothing will be done . I just came to vent. Truck drivers work hard and deserve better treatment and facilities for our money. That's why stores like Buc-ee's, Wally's, the Big Five truck stops, do so well because they are clean and inviting, fresh food you can see and smell, and, in spite of their high prices, you feel like you're getting something for your money. Not dry unseasonably bland food and dirty bathrooms. Not coming back. I'll stick to the larger truck stops with FREE PARKING, better food, and clean bathrooms. And SHOWERS. which you...

If I could give this place a zero or negative number, I would. I went to use the restroom and couldn't even step in the door. It was so disgusting and repulsive, I have never seen a restroom this filthy. The floor was COVERED in toilet paper with PILES in the corners and in the stalls. The one stall I could see, the door was open and the toilet was full of toilet paper and gross, obviously plugged. The smell was worse than a portapotty at a week long beer garden that had never been emptied. I turned around to leave. I refused to use this disgusting facility. The employees were sitting behind the counter on their phones doing nothing. The diesel pump we pulled up to didn't work. We had to move to another. Not an easy feat pulling a 42 foot fifth wheel. There were potholes so large the whole camper was tipped so I couldn't open the door to use my own restroom. This place will be out of...

Lots of feedback over the last 2 years from the establishment saying they are working hard to get things better etc. Well, I was there yesterday and was appalled at every aspect of my experience. The bathroom was trashed and out of soap, paper towels and no working dryer. When I inquired I was told he'd "just taken care of that" and I had to repeat two more times that I truly did mean there was no soap in the bathroom at this time. He got me a refill and when I went to pay for my drink I let him know I couldn't put it in the dispenser and he told me it was to be used as is. Please sir, I wasn't born last night and I know how soap works. I just said as politely as I could that I was just letting him know to which he responded saying he was the only one there so wasn't able to do better. Well, so be it then. Will never ever stop...
