Sunny Slope Orchard — Local services in Tuscarawas Township

Have been patronizing this business for 50 years and have always enjoyed the establishment with all of the excellent deli, baked goods, and of course apples. Best apple cider around available at a reasonable price. Fall is a special time here with all of the harvest offerings in the country setting. Great place to stop while enjoying the rest of the areas offerings like Amish Country.

That being said I was a bit disappointed this year with the apples and hence the 4 and not 5 star rating. The apples were not as fresh as usual being more like those from the grocery store post season...not crisp but ok. Always look forward to a fresh/crisp red delicious apple here in the fall.....but not this year. Will try again to see if...

Best Amish Orchard Shop I've been to. There was plenty of parking. The landscaping was nice and everything was clean on the outside and in. There were well maintained apple trees everywhere. The apples were very fresh as well as the other fruits and vegetables. The prices were NOT comparable only because they were the cheapest prices I've seen and the quality and size of everything were big. If you go inside it's no different. Fresh baked goods and other spices, nuts a d candies. My favorite was an apple cider slushy machine. It was awesome!! Cheap prices, fresh goods, fruits and vegetables. Had 5 gallons of cider in our cart (they're $6.00 a gallon if you buy 5 or more) and the cashier rung up all 5 of them first, of all the stuff we were buying (the $30 charge was listed at the top of the receipt), then she rung up an extra cider that we didn't have, for $6.95, second from last, near the very bottom of the receipt. We checked everything over and we were definitely overcharged. How do you make that mistake, especially when the ciders are $6.00 each if you buy five or more? I felt robbed when I left there, and when I checked the receipt, my feeling of being taken advantage of was proven valid.
