Dollar General — Local services in Tuskegee

I am a military veteran and came here because I was promoting a free community event for veterans in Tuskegee to be service connected and have their questions answered. I traveled around requesting the announcement flier to be displayed either up front where I saw a housing authority flier, or in the window area. Dollar General within most areas are usually accommodating and are never against putting out something that is FREE and helps their community. I’m not sure who the manager is but I PRAY it isn’t the young lady with the blonde bob. When I asked she pretty much did everything to show disinterest. Didn’t look at me and started texting on her phone while asking what it’s for but really not listening to explain anything. The cashier was sweet and more interested so she said she could hang it up on the door for me. Never saw it happen and when I returned there was no flier anywhere. I would have taken a polite and simple NO. I won’t be coming back to this location anytime ever and pretty disappointed the have no concern for their community and how they can help the VETERANS right...

This was the worst store I have visited. The employees are rude, probably stealing money. They were very evasive when asked about Western Union money orders or receipts. The manager was less helpful, who walked away from me while I was on the phone with a Western Union representative whom wanted the manager to give me my money. But she refused to do so saying, there was no money to honor payment to me on my money order. And after waiting for 3 hours, she said I should have obtained the payment from a shift prior to hers. This store needs to invest in securing a manager that knows how to operate a store of that size and location. I have shopped there on many occasions when it was in terrible disarray.i am commenting today because was verbally assaulted and was refused service for not wearing a mask 😷.
