Hi everyone — I wanted to properly introduce this page. Taste of the Berkshires started because there’s so much good food and so many great local businesses here, and a lot of them don’t get the attention they deserve — or they get lost in bigger accounts. There are longtime restaurants, small farms, bakeries, and coffee shops across Berkshire County — with new places opening all the time. There’s also a website and a newsletter in the works. The goal is simple: share what’s happening locally, highlight small food businesses, and give people an easy way to stay in the loop about places to eat, drink, and food shop across Berkshire County. January is a tough month for a lot of local food businesses, especially after the holidays, so this felt like a good time to start showing up and helping spread the word. If you’re a business owner, or just out somewhere local, feel free to tag this account — I’ll do my best to share in Stories and help get more eyes on places around Berkshire County. This page is still new. If there’s a local spot you love, run, or think deserves a feature, comments and messages are always welcome. Yes it is difficult to rate an entire region, but if you like beautiful scenery, great hikes, great driving roads and great biking, and decent skiing, this is a great place to go.

There are plenty of fantastic restaurants throughout the area, and tons of cultural things to do from MoCA, to The Berkshire museum,the Clark, the Norman Rockwell museum, Hancock shaker Village, Tanglewood, Jacob's Pillow, and countless other activities.

Great place for a weekend getaway, pretty much any season.

It's kind of nice that not everybody in the Northeast knows about it, because it hasn't become overcrowded or ridiculously...

I live in the beautiful fabulous Berkshires in the town of Pittsfield ma truly fab wonderful area everything so close don't have to travel hours in stress to get to water, lakes, rivers, sports or jut relax in the wonder of it all. Winter : ski, ice skating, snow boating, lake fishing. Wonderful hiking trails mountain trails camping. Culture Tanglewood, bars for family music live country, rock, classic what ever it's here. Food fab: Restaurants. Cafes. Pubs. Diners home made great foods. Markets that are special with all kinds of goodies. I live in "Gan Edan" that's the name I given it come see feel eat rest...

Not enough bathrooms, the leather seats were disappointing. Why does this location not have more dancing bear circus shows? Or the Red Sox? Where's my B. Goode and Sam LaGrassa's??!?
