The Falls at Barber Creek — Local services in Tyrone Township

Wasn't sure if I should post this but the more I think about it I think I should. I golf at the Falls average at least once a week all season and have since they had just opened years ago. Pretty sure they recognize me/my face/my name. The general manager tried to scam me on May 1, 2022. My boyfriend overhead the whole thing so I'm not crazy. On Black Friday, 2021, the Falls offered a deal of (4) 18 hole rounds with a cart for $125. So that means FOUR 18 hole rounds, with a cart, says it right on the gift certificate. When I walked up with my legitimate signed gift certificate (signed by Bruce Hawley, the GENERAL MANAGER, same guy trying to scam me), old Bruce Hawley says so I'm taking $56 off your $125 total, that gift certificate is for a FOURSOME for ONE ROUND OF 18 HOLES... ummm I wasn't born yesterday! I said no, it's for 4 18 hole rounds, says it right on that certificate. After I got LOUD about it, he agreed with me and then I told him to cross off the 4, write a 3 and initial it so I wouldn't have someone else there try to scam me. I seriously wonder how many other people he's scammed out of what they paid for. Needless to say, when my gift certificate is used up, we will no longer be golfing there. Spending on average $150 every time we golf between bringing friends with us, buying food and alcohol. I will take my business and money elsewhere to golf courses that have better management who aren't scam artists. I called ahead to confirm that our group of six could do a scramble, and we were told it would be allowed as long as we booked two back-to-back tee times. We followed their instructions, but when we arrived to tee off on the first hole, the staff suddenly informed us that a six-person scramble was not permitted and that we had to stick to our separate three person groups and separate tee times. To make matters worse, while teeing off, we were accused of not paying for all six players. They told us we had to show our bank statements to prove everyone had paid (and we did to prove them wrong). We had planned to spend more money during the 18 hole outing, but after that experience, we decided not to spent a cent more. Found this little gem while looking for a tee time online. It is only nine holes (they are building the other nine), but it is a joy to play. The landscaping and the sheer amount of rock that has been placed on this course is mind-blowing. The falls play centerpiece to these nine holes as well as small meandering lake.

We chatted with the woman running the pro shop and she said it was created from a gravel pit - which I guess explains the abundance of rocks. They are in the middle of creating the second nine and looks to be just as wonderful and eye catching as the first nine.
