I would not recommend this auto repair shop due to extremely poor organization and customer service. What should be a simple repair at most shops takes this place a week, and they don’t keep you informed. I had to repeatedly call to check on the status of my car, only to later find out it was finished but they failed to tell me.

I brought my vehicle in for repairs several times, including a power steering rack replacement and a check engine light issue. The power steering rack was replaced, and I was told the new part came with a lifetime warranty. However, when the part failed months later, I was told I needed a receipt for warranty coverage. I provided it, only to be told I’d still have to pay for labor—a claim that isn’t true because warranty parts generally cover labor costs. I ended up going to another shop, Ultimate, to have it fixed, which was a big inconvenience.

As for the check engine light, the shop replaced a battery that wasn’t even old, claiming the light would eventually go off. It didn’t. After taking it to a dealer, I learned the issue was actually a faulty gas cap.

My vehicle was also parked at this shop when it was involved in a hit-and-run accident. They didn’t notify me, and when I called, the owner hesitated before finally admitting what happened. When I asked for insurance details, he said he would pay cash to a body shop of his choice for repairs. I ultimately agreed after speaking with the body shop and seeing their positive reviews.

I called this guy and spoke him on the phone but he grumbed a few times when I made him repeat what I did not understand. I came to that shop and he said to me if I speak English. Previously as an export manger I visited more than 40 countries from New Zeland to Brasil from Russia to Africa and I was responsible for customers account in many of them before I immigrated to US. If you’re looking to get ripped off, A1 Repair Shop is the place to go. I was charged nearly $500 for a simple fuel filter replacement, and they even charged me extra for a heater that supposedly ‘needed’ to run—burning a whole two gallons of diesel an hour-just to warm up the truck for the job (fyi diesel is $5 a gallon not $300).
