Worst experience ever at Scott's Farm Market. We went to get strawberries this morning. We had an old box from them we took to use, trying to help them with their expenses. I told them we've had the box for several years and thought we could just use it. Then the questions came. Where's the lid, etc. Kenny told them when we got strawberries in Erwin the man asked if we minded taking it without a lid. We said that would be fine. The lady handing out the crates snapped and said "Sir! We haven't sold in Erwin yet". I said, I told you it was several years ago. I said we'll just take a crate the way they come. We paid and Kenny asked can I leave this box here. The cashier said, "No you can take it with you". The other lady said "no he can leave it". By that time I was DONE!! This is a seasonal market that mostly has produce grown on Scott’s Farm. The early in the year strawberries and the mid-year blueberries are typically very good but only around a few months in the season. Ice cream they serve there is very good and does not melt much cause you eat it quickly for a good flavor. Careful of brain freeze. The young ladies running the cash register are friendly and efficient in answering questions. I have seen some guys come in to make a small purchase and to flirt with them. Highly recommend the produce as it comes from the good rich soil of upper East Tennessee. But keep in mind they are a seasonal market and are open from like April to October’ish. Short drive from Johnson City. Great selection of fresh grown vegetables. Everything i have ever gotten from here has been high quality. We love the ice cream in warm waffle cones. Clean facility with clean restrooms available. The only thing we did not enjoy the last few visits was the service. The counter was run by young girls and they tend to be more concerned with giggling and posting pics of themselves on social media than on being friendly to the customers during the transaction.
