Me and my kids went to try the fried chicken for the 1st time at this gas station and the younger gentleman that helped get our food was GREAT ! 😊 however when we proceeded to check out the cashier was very in patient and rude. The odd part about my total experience is there were several people ahead of my family and she had a completely different attitude? In my opinion the experience I felt was racially motivated and ignorant and I will be definitely speaking with there management especially since my kids , go to the local school down the street I expected to have a wonderful experience from other local feedback but unfortunately that was not the case. If a business is busy , with a long line I can understand you can get overwhelmed etc. but you should never disrespect your customers no matter what!

There was absolutely no excuse to be treated this way , and the customers behind us were very polite and was laughing …no one felt like we were holding them up. If the owners get a chance to see this review please reach out to me. I have always lived 5min from this store and went to unionville and piedmont. I loved coming here and getting my after school snacks and feeling a sense of community from the past owners. Mrs.Baucom was always extremely nice to me and knew my whole family. She would greet everyone and would make them feel at home. Since the new management and restoration, i have never felt more uncomfortable in a store. No one greets you & most of the time no one is even standing at the register and if they are, they are ignoring you on their phone. I feel as if this could either be just plane rudeness & entitlement or racially motivated. When my white family & friends go in, they get a completely different experience. I accidentally grabbed my sisters ID before heading to pick up some drinks. Made it to the front register, and the old cashier ANNOUNCES, “THIS ISNT YOU”. I quickly apologized and left embarrassed (I’m 26, it was a simple mistake). Decided hey, maybe she just had a bad day. It was my mess up anyways. Out of the handful of times I’ve stopped in there since then, she has looked at me and treated me like I’m disgusting, looks at my ID for an insane amount of time as if it’s fake or not me.
