Statler's Fun Center — Local services in Unity Township

I've got to say, I had such an unexpectedly great time!!

Let me begin by saying I can count on my hand how many times I actual have written and submitted an online review. And those I have done were likely negative.

My adventure began when I was asked to go play some put-put (or mini golf for those who prefer the term) and grab some ice cream. I intended to visit a put put course very close to my home. My companion insisted we go to Statler's, and boy, am I glad.

Ok. I have been to Statler's before, and was familiar with the facilities. But this evening of put-put exceeded my expectations. The air was mild and calm. The lighting, just right at dusk. My companion also insisted on playing a competitive round, while I anticipated just having fun.

We enjoyed the course's obstacles, ramps, short-cut holes (they are really just distractions in my opinion), water hazards, and drained water hazards. I ended up beating my companion during the round. The added level of healthy stress of competition enhanced the enjoyment along with my 3 hole in ones!! I was on cloud 9. I ended up shooting a 44 (+1).

I would later learn from the lovely staff in the clubhouse (fun center) that the course record is held by the owner. Legend has it he shot a 32!!!! Just hearing that got my juices flowing and my mind thinking of the potential to grow the sport of put put (mini golf for the rest of you) and opportunities for Statler's. I thought it would be a great idea to have beer league put put . I received varying responses when I brought it up to the staff and manager, I think his name was Phil. Gee, what a nice guy he was. Very cordial and great posture.

The hard ice cream was on point. We ordered single scoop cones, and let me tell you, the single scoop was much larger than I anticipated. My companion and I decided to enjoy our ice cream outside in grand stand next to the go-cart course. In order to maintain the competitive spirit, we picked our own likely drivers to win the race. We discussed the likelihood or a cart spinning out, a wreck, the need for a caution flag, how many time we might hear a cart backfire. This led us to discuss another opportunity for the business......low (or high) stakes waging on go-cart racing. Our discussion went on and on as we ate very large single scoop cones. I was recently at a go-cart course located out of state where the races lasted 5 minutes. This night's race was well over 5 minutes, a great experience for all.

Just as the race was ending, it was at this point when we crossed paths with the manager. Did I mention he was a nice guy? While sharing our delightful experience with him, we provided our suggestions of the beer league put put (I know, mini golf) and the go-cart wagering. I cannot confirm or deny if either of those activities are currently happen at Statler's.....

I walked away smiling due to the unexpected great evening and interactions.

If there is any area of improvements to note, the greens could have been maintained a bit better. There were several greens with a noticeable amount of leaves and mulch.

Word on the street is Statler's use to have an amazing grounds crew led by a dedicated human. I think his name was Chad, don't quote on that.

Wanted to give this place 5 stars, do to one really rude young lady cashier she completely disregarded my feelings and my son's. My mother had brought my son to ride the go-karts the day before so I wanted to take him the next day she's very rudely Austin the stand next to the measuring tape which had to be way taller than 57 in, anyways he was right at the line she said he was too short funny thing is the day before my mother talked to the owner and he allowed him to ride the go carts, so I kindly tried to explain this to her but she would not get any manager you just rudely kept saying no, next time I will go...

Had a birthday party here for my son who just turned 12! This place was a great place to go to with him and his group of friends! Their party package was amazing and for the price it is unbeatable! With their party package it not only included go cart racing and mini golf, but it also included incredible pizza, drinks, and an ice cream cake, which made things super easy for us since we didn't have to worry about setting up food or the cake! I would definitely recommend throwing your next birthday celebration here, especially if you want everything to be...
