Frederick Living is an incredible facility. My mother had made the decision to live here a few years prior to actually needing to live in Assisted Living. She was fortunate enough to have been on the wait list prior to becoming very ill, and being transferred from the hospital to the Frederick Living Rehab center. Once she was there, she was frank in determining whether she could once again return to her home and care for herself. She decided that caring for herself was too difficult and she was ready to make the transition to FL. Since she had always refused to live with me, once she was at FL for rehab she transitioned well into assisted living. There was a short period of adjustment, about 3 weeks, but once the transition was made, FL quickly became her home. After nearly dying from Covid in 2020, she had to transition into Skilled Nursing, where she resides today at the age of 94, going on 95 next month! The staff at Frederick Living, especially in Skilled Nursing, has been caring, attentive, kind, and treats her with respect, dignity, and they show compassion and a fondness for the residents that warms our hearts. My mother is treated well, has no complaints and feels safe and is quite comfortable. The food is wonderful. One of my fondest recollections, is when I had surgery and couldn't visit for a couple months, the staff made sure we could facetime regularly. It made all the difference in the world. The activities they have regularly are also fascinating. Music is a huge part of my mother's life, and she still gets to enjoy live music at Frederick Living regularly. The enrichment staff are so focused on making residents happy they find many ways to bring people out of their rooms and join the fun. When my mom isn't in her room, I know she's either eating, getting her hair done at the salon, or she is watching bingo (mom doesn't play games), or she's at a concert listening to music, singing with a guitarist and pianist or just with the enrichment lead for Cedarwood. I can rest assured that my mom is well cared for at Frederick Living. The management team also makes sure the place is run efficiently and everyone is doing their jobs, well. Their partnership with the Garden Spot Communities seems to have impacted the...

After visiting several CCRC’s my husband and I immediately felt “comfortable” with all we saw at F/L. After living here for 2 years we are happy to say our decision was the right one. Since F/L is small , it was easy to meet neighbors and become a part of a new family whose members share so many of our experiences. Our cottage is lovely and holds many of the treasures that reflect our past life. We are both involved in activities that we had little time for previously. Our children are delighted to see us settled in a place where we are enjoying life and secure in knowing many of our needs are...
