Just went there for the Freedom Fest State Fair. Lady in the admissions booth is dropping F-bombs about a lady in another booth, while I'm paying. I was there with my wife and son, and rhetorically asked her, "is that really appropriate language to be using up here?" As I walked in past the pay booth, out of the corner of her mouth the F-bomb lady says "You should mind your own F'ing business." So, I call for a manager. After waiting 15 minutes I call the number on the web site. Mr. Nick DeMauro is professional and apologized for the incident. I tell him I've been waiting for a manager for 15 minutes, so he calls his manager. All I want is my $30 back. I never went into the actual fair. I'm told he would fire the lady before I got my money back. The junior manager makes it up front and proceeds to try and convince me to go in so he doesn't have to give me my money back. "Your'e going to let one lady ruin your day?" he asks. 'No, my day isn't ruined, I just want nothing to do with what you are selling if this is the way you do business." He winds up giving me $30 out of his own pocket, which I commend, but running a business that allows people to cuss like, talk to customers like that, and then forcing your junior supervisors to pay up because your policies don't allow for refunds... Well, needless to say I won't be back....
Read moreThe Horse Park Of NJ is an excellent equestrian facility that hosts events all year round. 185 Acres set up for various events. It has almost 300 stalls in permanent buildings so although they are not the most appealing they are the most functional, especially in some weather or high wind. There’s two Show rings, a Grand Prix and Carriage Dressage arena, a fenced and lighted schooling ring, Dressage warm up ring, Indoor arena, a Multi-purpose pavilion for sheltered viewing, trade fairs, auctions and clinics, and a Secretary's office, including lounge, press room and announcer's booth. I attended the Jersey Fresh International Three Day Event this past weekend, designed by Captain Mark Phillips And it was phenomenal! Beautiful horses, some from and headed to the olympics next year. Highly recommend heading here for all of the...
Read moreOf all the horse shows I've gone to this is one of my top favorite places to attend. It is laid out easy. No fuss especially when you have an impatient horse!! It's big and easy to get around in so dont be afraid of taking a wrong turn! Beautiful, clean, well appointed with water and electric for each stall aisle. The stalls are plywood on bottom with dirt floors and a chain link top, they're nice size. Only complaint is the latches, just take something like a lock or something to stick in so if you have a nibby Houdini horse, he or she wont escape!! The speakers work and it's well lit! Very very nice place to go! Will look forward to more...
