10/10!! When we first got engaged, I told my fiancé the ONE vendor that was not optional, was Patrick Mazzella and his team!! Why?! Because MAZZ Entertainment brings the party to any crowd and aside from marrying my best friend, the music and dancing was our top priority !!! Patrick started his business young, my first experience was at my 5th grade dance and his company literally took off! Based out of NJ, but bringing his experience to Brides all the way up to CT - where we live right now! I was first worried of the distance during our first chat, but he reassured me he and the team could bring all the equipment and set up DJ & Ceremony decor no problem! Whatever package we wanted he would accommodate no matter the distance. This is just the first, of all the help and guidance he and the team provided. Throughout planning, 3 years due to Covid, he was always a phone call away for whatever questions we had, and always reassuring he was one vendor we didn’t need to worry about! Finally the wedding day arrived, I was in my gown when I saw the guys setting up our event! The acrylic cubes really brought our DJ set up to the next level - definitely not your average set up for a wedding && by far the best decision we made when evaluating how we wanted to present our entertainment - FRONT AND CENTER!! We had a prep call the week of the wedding to go through all our music, wedding party, do’s and don’ts, and any other questions / semantics we had with the teams MC, Chris Katzmen!!! He is AMAZING! He got everything organized for Pat to throw the party with our music selection and vibe while Chris kept everyone on their toes and the night flowing smoothly! Mazz came highly recommended by our planner so we reached out and had our first call with Patrick who was friendly and informative. We quickly booked them and had a very easy planning process throughout. All forms and package due dates were clearly outlined as well as what music choices we needed to select. We had a call with MC Chris a few days before to review our timeline and logistics- he was friendly and personable. We were a bit anxious only giving them 10 reception songs but DJ Vinny absolutely crushed it! Our guests were dancing legit all night long and we had the absolute best time! Chris and Vinny are such a great team! Currie did a wonderful job with the photobooth- this was part of our guestbook so we really wanted to get the word out to guests, he offered to bring it around during cocktail hour and got some great extra photos! They were flexible with the requests we had which included playing songs at specific times to coordinate with other vendors, playing a surprise song for my husband, and playing our first dance song which my husband and I cut together. They surprised us with the one slow song I requested as a private last song which was very thoughtful and romantic. We did ask early on about photobooth props and were told there would be ones to use but never saw them on our wedding day. There was a lot going on so it is possible we missed them. The one “negative/issue” is that we were never asked what we wanted across the bottom of the photo printouts. My husband’s last name was what was chosen and I am not changing my last name, so I would have much preferred our initials or the date, a simple heart etc. but that did not at all take away from the day at all. Vinny, Chris, and Currie were all so friendly, so professional, handled our many requests smoothly. Mazz Entertainment deserves more than 5 stars. Everything was exceptional. From our first encounter to our last with Mazz, we were blown away. Mazz Entertainment is very professional and made our planning process so easy! They were the easiest vendor we worked with. Everything was left up to Mazz to take care of. All we had to do was pick our package and fill out our DJ form and everything else was so easy! Patrick responded to every email and was so quick. He never made us feel like we were a bother no matter what the question was. Our MC was Chris and he was the best. He made sure Rob and I had drinks, food and even brought us our late night snack. He kept the party going all night. Patrick played a variety of music and played every song we wanted. He felt out the crowd and we got so many compliments on the music selection. Our guests were blown away. Nicky was our technician. The uplighting was breath taking, the first dance in the clouds were just so magical and we even had indoor sparklers that they shot off periodically through out the night. We even got a private moment in the ballroom with just my husband and myself to experience the indoor sparklers alone. Mazz entertainment did everything possible to make sure we had the best experience ever. Not one mistake was made. Mazz Entertainment is by far the BEST DJ company.
