Le Petit Chef — Local services in Upper Merion Township

My family could not be more pleased with the services and food from le Petite Chef. We held the repast after my Father’s memorial service at my parents’ home. Diane was our contact and was helpful organizing the tent, chairs and tables . My mother was able to discuss the menu with her as well . George, the chef, came to the house to speak with my Mother about the food and also to become familiar with the indoor and outdoor set up and flow . The day of the repast the chef and staff arrived and did the set up quickly and quietly. Upon return from church we noted that the indoor and outdoor spaces were beautifully set with our flowers and the food. The staff was respectful and extremely helpful to the family and guests. The kitchen and all areas used for the repast were immaculately cleaned before the staff left.

The food was not only well presented on trays and platters provided by le Petite Chef, but was delicious. Amounts suggested by Diane and George were spot on.

There would be no hesitation on our part to wholeheartedly recommend le Petite Chef for any catering needs

I absolutely hate to leave a negative review. I am only doing this as a warning to others. We just used this caterer for a child’s birthday party. Unfortunately, after my husband picked up the good (morning of) we realized almost every item was a frozen bulk item from a grocery store. Completely frozen. I was aware we would need to reheat items but this was store brand frozen “ Hors d’oeuvres” likely from Costco. I am a very easy going person so it takes a lot to upset me. I was stunned. We reached out and the woman admitted some of the items were purchased but insisted others were not. It was very clear they were all store bought low quality bulk items. The one exception was the tea sandwiches. They were cute- I didn’t end up eating any myself so I can not comment on the taste. I ordered a tray of tea sandwiches from Le Petit for a party of 20 and first, I have to say the sandwiches were both beautiful and tasted amazing. What was more impressive to me was the professionalism of this company; the owner is super on top of her game. She made me feel at ease with how to pick up and everything was ready right on time and beautifully set up. I’ll be ordering from Le Petit in the future and...
