So I paid $10 to get in for the day. I was able to play one full court game and we were asked to move to a new court cause someone rented one of the 3 courts(they literally set up one table and left). We moved to a new court but the only problem is the new court has one hoop all the way down to a child's height and the middle court was blocked by a roll away hoop. I informed the desk and they agreed to raise it. 30 minutes later 6 of our 10 players decided to leave because the hoop was never raised. when I asked the desk again I was told the don't know how to raise the hoop and the manager isn't there to help. I offered to help but that was not good enough. At this point I gave up. I was told sorry and they can't give me a refund because they aren't allowed but I can put a suggestion in the suggestion box. A suggestion box is not the fix. The staff is nice but not helpful and $10 is too much to charge kids in high school. This is a COMMUNITY center and it should be used to get the community teenagers from running the streets. On a side note I was surprised by the complete lack of equipment in the exercise room and the short weekend hours. This is not a replacement for your current gym membership. Take the tour before you buy in for the year and make sure the hours...
Read moreWe joined the Senior program for us over 62 aged folks. They have a mixed “chair exercise” or “exercise while sitting down,” something like that, that is very good. Participants also use weights, straps, other apparatus to do exercise, and stand up & use the chair for balance when needed for those who can. We’re new here in Pennsylvania, and we have already met several nice people at the class. There is a different group name for downstairs gym with pickle ball practice, and there’s an outdoor pool next door—we have to figure all this out in order to join the proper club and use the things we like. The Chair-Ex Class costs $3 each per class (maybe to pay the instructor (she’s 70, and she’s very qualified/knowledgeable in...
Read moreAs an Upper Merion townie, I am very disappointed that pool entry is only allowed if you have a membership. There should be an option to pay a certain fee to use the pool if we don't want to pay the full membership. If a busy person like me only goes to the pool once or twice in the summer , 125 per person (in my case its 3 adults, 375) is way too high a price for pool entry.
Not to mention that the duration of the pool membership is from Jan - December, yet the pool is only open from Memorial Day - Labor Day. So why should I pay 375 for a membership if I only end up coming over 2-3 times?
Until there is a change in pool membership policies, this one star...
