I went here today and had excellent service from the whole crew except this one cashier who was a young man with a beard (I think he goes by Mark?). I quote what he said, âhurry up! This ainât no Walmart!â and proceeded to have a irritared facial expression towards us while we were looking at one piece of meat to add before we go. I understand that it was busy and it can get stressful. Im a nurse and my family are nurses who work at a hospital â we understand what its like to work under pressure dealing with a lot of work and people. Trust me when I say working in a pandemic is HARD dealing with similar stressors (people and time) but I HAVE NEVER TALKED TO ANYONE WITH SUCH DISRESPECT LIKE THAT AT WORK. We waited an hour. We patiently waited our turn â thus we were ensuring we didnât forget anything. My family and I felt very very disrespected which is the reason why I gave 2 star rather than a 5 star. My 2 cents? Just donât talk to other people like that. Its for mutual respect. This experience immensely influenced this review. It was my first time there and safe to say I had a bad experience - everyone else was patient except Mark. This is not something anyone wants to...
Read moreThe men ringing up the items are not being truthful. They do not allow you to see how many pounds you are buying. I noticed the machine they use to weigh the items is tilted upwards in such a way that the customers do not see the reading on the machine. They also do not write how many pounds on your receipt or how much is a pound. They just weigh everything and give you a rounded amount to pay. How can they end up with a perfectly rounded amount each time if they actually weigh the meat when each bag has a different weight? I do not think they tell customers the actual cost of what they are buying. These guys are ripping customers off all in the name that they sell cheaper. I also do not think their prices are anything special. I asked one of the guys how much the beef tripe is per pound, he laughed and said $1000 as a joke and walked away. This is to say that he did not answer me because he knows they do not always tell customers the true/actual cost of the meat being bought. This is my first time of...
Read moreI guess I was naive. I saw the prices and couldnât believe filet was under 10$ a pound. I bought 5 lbs., obviously not commercial, just for my family. But when you take it home and trim the fat, etc., you have less 2 lbs. Thatâs why itâs so inexpensive. I was shocked how heavy the bag was and equally shocked but how much I had to throw out. 5 lbs of filet and I wonât have enough meat for the 4 of us. By the time itâs trimmed I might as well have just paid the Amish market prices. Like I said, my naivety.
Update- following day. Was contacted by Burlington Beef, they are making things right, willing to deliver replacement order. Rare for companies to have solid, responsible customer service these days, even offered to trim the meat for me. Respect. First time at the the retail store can be intimidating (from other customers as well), don't let that keep you from speaking up,...
